@Randal'Thor thanks for the screenshot; I hadn't thought of that. Both the timeline and SEDE lack that level of detail.
@TimE.Lord Daily floof?
@SQB I posted a screenshot instead of a link to the relevant page of your rep tab, just in case you're one of those people who never clicks their rep tab just to watch that number go up ;-)

Q: Why are injuries sometimes not healed by morphing and demorping?

RevetahwIn Megamorphs 2: In the Time of Dinosaurs Tobias is injured while in his "own" hawk-form. He tries to heal himself by morphing and demorphing, but it doesn't work, his injuries remain. Normally, your own body is healed from morphing and demorphing. (For example, Marco healed himself of rabies in...

@Tango I haven't had to anywhere near that much work. And at my age, I'm ok with that.
@Donald.McLean I planned on taking a year off to get things done, and that started in mid 2016. It's still going to be a while. We have most things on the house done - some work from the general contractor's workers left, along with final painting and staining and putting drywall mud up in the garage. But I still have a long trench to bury, a creek crossing to finish, then a road to the barn, digging the 2nd half of that trench to the barn (and burying cable in it), and then the whole barn to do!

Q: How old are Thor, Loki, Odin (and Asgardians) in Earth years in Marvel movies?

RagnarssonIn MCU movies, Thor, Loki and Odin are not really Gods if I am right, they are more like alien race with super powers. Comparing to people on earth, how old are Thor, Loki, Odin and Asgardians in earth years? Hundred-thousands years old or more? Are their lives limited? If they don't get killed...

14:23
@Tango I just don't have that kind of time. Are you moved in to the house?
@Donald.McLean Yes, but we still both have a lot of stuff at our old houses. We can't really get things in place until the painters are done. For example, we have a smaller LCD TV on the mantel that will be an auxiliary monitor in my study - we can't put the projection TV in place until later today, after they've finished staining and clear coating the TV shelf. And all the bookshelves - tons of 'em. They're staining them now. We can't use them until they're clear coated.

@Tango It sounds like it will be amazing once it's done though.

@Donald.McLean We're happy with the house - it does look great and it looks great in the setting it's in. It is frustrating still having workers here every day, a month after the wedding! But they're close to done and the interior work will be done before some of the rest. At this point, we're eager to have a sense of calm and privacy when they finish all the work.
@Donald.McLean You had the house built, right? Did you move in as soon as you got your CO? And was there anything left to be done after that?

@Catija: Aww! Kawaii desu ne! (Japanese for really cute)
user136984
Well, the first bit is English.
user136984
But the second bit is Romaji.
@ParanoidPanda I didn't learn much in my two years studying Japanese but I do know that. ;)
user136984
@Catija: Good! :D
user136984
納豆が好きですか。
user136984
18:12
That is a must know phrase (question). ;)
@ParanoidPanda Natto? I've never actually tried it.
user136984
@Catija: Yes, I rather like it.
user136984
You should. You might react like most of the Western world, or the half of Japan that hates it, or like me, you might be one of those strange Westerners who likes it. ;D
Ha ha. Maybe. I don't know if I can trust any I get here to be "good" (assuming there are qualities of it that make some better than others).
@ParanoidPanda I will try it if I see some sometime.
user136984
@Catija: "Mitto" Natto is particularly good. It is made in Mitto in Japan, obviously, and is smaller and browner than the other types.
18:21
I'm actually heading to a ramen restaurant right now... ha ha. But they don't have natto.
user136984
@Catija: There's this one Japanese restaurant I go to which took ages to actually put Natto on the official menu. I've always thought it's probably because some Westerner will come in not knowing what it is and think "Ooh! Natto? I think I'll try some of that!" and then they might lose that customer. :D
user136984
Sometimes they actually do have Natto, but it's only if you know the 'secret' (Japanese) word that you can actually get it. So the Japanese people can ask the chef. And the foreigners don't get any nasty surprises. ;)
Whats Natto?
@ParanoidPanda My husband had what I imagine was the German equivalent... we went to a German place and he ordered blood wurst and the server asked him point blank if he really wanted that.
user136984
@amflare: A Japanese delicacy of soya beans fermented with a special bacteria called "Natto-kin". Even though half the world can't stand it for its slimyness and half of Japan doesn't like the smell and taste. It is actually very good for you. It helps the body to absorb proteins.
user136984
18:31
As well as being a natural blood thinner, but as it contains the highest amounts of Vitamin K over any other food in the world this means that it also intelligently enables your body easily to re-thicken the blood if necessary. So basically if you eat it every day your blood thickness levels will always normalise. Another thing it does is expand in the stomach so a small portion of the beans could actually be as good as a proper meal in terms of fillingness.
It looks weird, too. You have to see a photo.
user136984
Perfect.
user136984
Yes, it has slime, which is called "NebaNeba".
I'm not totally averse to Japanese beans... I love adzukis.
But I think most people like them.
I really want to go to Japan and eat food.
user136984
18:37
So do I!
19:00
@Mithrandir Hahaha that looks just like my cat.
@Mithrandir Yer date format is broken :D
@TimE.Lord We must remember
19:32
@Tango There were a handful of issues that developed after we moved in, but most of them have been resolved. Except for an annoying electrical issue in the master bedroom where ironing clothes will trip the circuit breaker.
@amflare Ha! One of those discouraged formats is extremely useful (especially at my office).
@Donald.McLean the cat?
@amflare No, year and fractional year. That's the only way to correctly do orbital calculations.
"2013.158904109"?
Exactly.
Can't plan an observation if you don't know what the exact position in space of the Hubble Space Telescope is.

Q: Which Superheroes Will Be In Avengers Infinity War?

Metro BoominI was curious to see whether Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson) would return to but sadly he doesn't which made me think what superheroes are actually confirmed to make a appearance or even a cameo in the much anticipated Avengers infinity war! For example it has been confirmed the Guardians of the gala...
