Q: How does age work in the SW universe?

CharlesThe age of a person is typically measured in years, and, this also seems to be the case in the SW universe, with Yoda claiming to be 900 years old. When 900 years old you reach, look as good, you will not. But, how can this statement really be made? The SW setting is spread out amongst ...

Q: A 20 year old (or more) book which starts with a spaceman burying a crew member

user77167I've searched sci-fi book lists until blue in the face it is not from a common or well known author. The story is more of a personal drama orientated around loneliness and solitude than a multi faceted fantasy. I would like to re-read it but I've lent it out and lost it.

^ A wild guess, but is that Lem's Return from the Stars? One of the astronauts did die, and I think that does come up early in the book, and "personal drama orientated around loneliness and solitude than a multi faceted fantasy" is a reasonable interpretation.
But sure, OP gives too few details and could probably give more if he wanted to.
Although he does say "not from a common or well known author" which makes it less likely, but I don't trust anyone who remembers that on a story-id if he doesn't give more details.

@b_jonas Yeah....that is a bit odd using his middle name since he's referenced by either his first name or simply RAB most places.

Q: Why would Groot protecting the other Guardians kill him?

TylerI just rewatched the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie and this part wasn't well explained. Why would Groot die just because he wrapped up his friends? He was already shown to be able to expand/stretch his body with no repercussions, but as soon as he starts to expand to encircle his friends in...
