Q: Looking for the source of this 'creation'

Nu'DaqGraphic artist Wayne Barlowe published a book Barlowe's Guide to Fantasy, wherein he depicts various creatures and characters from a wide range of fantasy works by different writers including Clive Barker, Michael Moorcock, Robert Howard and others. At the back of this collection are a group of s...

Q: Im trying my best to remember a cartoon I saw from 2008 ish?

Eileen McFartThis one I'm relying on the only 2 memories of the episode. I think 3 main characters, a brown haired boy and red haired girl (I forgot the third) would go explore nature or something. The only two episodes I remember is one where they all get itchy/allergic before a performance and the punchline...

@Marvin @lfurini Just FYI, we aren't supposed to edit spam posts. I understand the temptation to rescue a potentially on-topic post by removing the spam links, but then it allows a spammer to potentially gain reputation and be more free to post spam elsewhere. A spammer with 50 reputation is a dangerous thing, since they can then spam anywhere in comments without bumping posts.
@Jenayah Sorry, I posted a message and then went offline for the night ... TLC = tender loving care. Not sure if it's a Britishism; basically just a fancier way of saying look after yourself.

Q: How did J. M. Barrie come up with the names for the Lost Boys?

onigameIn Peter Pan, four of the six Lost Boys are named: Tootles, Nibs, Curly, and Slightly. How did Barrie come up with these names? Were they common nicknames at the time the play was written? "Curly" obviously seems to still be in contemporary use, but the other three sound strange to me.

@Randal'Thor yes, that's what I found out with Google afterwards :)

Q: Short story/novel dystopian where the main character is compelled to by consumer goods which he packs into a recycling slot

Gavin ReidI have this memory of reading a short story of a dystopian future where the main character was compelled (by law?) to purchase "consumer goods". Upon arriving home he packed the purchased goods into a recycling slot.

Q: Story: sharing a ventilator, slowing heart rate

Aa8ttI'm looking for a story where there are 3 or 4 main characters in a post-apocalyptic or maybe off-Earth situation. Something is wrong with the air, and so the characters need to share a makeshift ventilator. There's a plot point involving a chemical, a drug, which slows down one's heart rate so t...

Q: It's a Good Life: Killing Anthony Consequences?

releseabeIn both the story (iirc) and certainly the Twilight Zone episode, a pivotal scene had some townsfolk contemplating killing Anthony -- I would guess this is one of the very few times on TV in the 1960s the murder of a child was openly discussed. Of course, this was a very dangerous act to think ab...

Q: trying to find the title of this time travel book

Geoffkhere2I think this book dates from the 60s or perhaps 70s. A brief synopsis: In the book a man appears, apparently from the distant future, I remember he had a single name which I think may have also been the title of the book. Very soon he is followed by thousands of people around the world, almost li...

Q: Children's novel where girl agrees to be replaced by robot/clone

GotCarterThis was a children's or YA novel I read in the 80s or 90s, I think relatively recent at the time. Written in English. Sent in the present day (as was), a girl is fed up with her life and accepts an offer from a woman to replace her with a robot or clone that will do things like go to school for...

Q: Children's novel: Children create slightly imperfect duplicates, starting with mug

GotCarterChildren's novel in English, read late 80s/early 90s, I believe recent at the time and sent in the present.
