Q: What makes humans a worthy hunt?

MöozIn the Predator Series we find out that the Predator species are hunters. They search for the most worthy prey, hunt them, kill them and collect them as trophies. image src: What are the other alien skulls in the Predator trophy case? What I'm interested in is, what makes humans worthy of the ...

I watched "Bright" last night. I liked it. It had its flaws, but it was overall a fun movie to watch.

1:50 PM
@FuzzyBoots hooray! I'd still like to see that one myself

@Narusan Hmm, have you tried the Shannara series'?

2:07 PM
@Mithrandir hopefully you mean the books, right?

2:18 PM
@Derpy Yes.

because no actual live action show was adapted from the books. So no one will bring that up, because it does not exist.

@Mithrandir Not yet. I‘ll give Ringwars a shot first (my local bookstore recommended Ryria) and then I‘ll get to Shannara. I‘m not going to try to find any non-existing adaptions into film, @Derpy

Q: Which ID questions do we want from Movies & TV?

Rand al'ThorOur sister site Movies & TV has decided to ban ID questions. All of their thousands of existing ID questions are now closed and locked, and many of them are slated for deletion over the coming weeks. Some proportion of them are about sci-fi and fantasy films, and much of this content would be con...

^ Oh! I know a few that I think might work... but it might be hard for me to find them.
Hmm no. Some of the ones I was thinking are actually on (new) Lit.

@Gallifreyan he was called David in TV show because creator wanted it that way

Will users who answered story-id on Movies lose a lot of rep for deleted questions (ones that aren't migrated)?

@b_jonas no lose of reputation when deleting old (i.e. 60 days) posts that have a score of more than 2

@AnkitSharma I see.

And good ID with answer are not getting deleted but getting historical lock with CV

5:04 PM
@AnkitSharma What does "CV" mean?

close vote

ah
Isn't the closing superfluous if there's a historical lock anyway?

That's what anime did and that's what is SE process for such cases I guess
Anyway close and historical lock already done, only deletion left

Hmm. I wonder if the historical lock stops people from featuring those questions with a bounty.

why would you feature a closed question ?
historical lock stop from any future action on them
even voting is not possible

5:08 PM
@AnkitSharma I know it stops voting, yes. That's the main feature of the historical lock.

hmmm

Back on perlmonks, we have a magic historical lock on perlmonks.com/?node_id=847 , on account that it is the first question posted after the site opened to the public (before that there are a few test questions by the site devs), but it's not a good question, and would quickly get downvoted these days.
That magical lock doesn't stop voting or replying, and indeed the question has a lot of upvotes because it's historical, but it does stop moderation actions by users who get mod powers from their XP only (as opposed to appointed janitors).
So the question is forever in limbo. It's not approved, and cannot be approved.

as a UX developer the site is making me cry
