Omg I'm among the wizards.

Is it ok to post paid project opportunities here?

2:40 AM
Wow I learned a lot from this, thank you

Edit: although kinda annoys me that (+⌿÷≢) doesn't behave the same as +⌿÷≢, can you help me understand that?

3:10 AM
@rak1507 use outer product?

3:53 AM
@Connor Sure, but consider also apl.wiki/Jobs
@Connor The parens (or naming, for that sake) isolates the functions, which forces a mode change from explicit to tacit. If there's no data to work with on the far right, i.e. if the rightmost "thing" is a function, then we end up with a function value.

@Richard Yes, someone in a different forum said they'd like videos like these to be accessible to non-APLers.

5 hours later…
11:05 AM
@LdBeth I phrased it badly, it generates possible choices of a given length
⋄ 3 {r←1 0⍴0 ⋄ r⌿⍨⍺=+/r⊣⍺{n←1+⍵⌊⍺-+/r ⋄ r⌿⍨←n ⋄ r,←1-⍨(⍳+/n)+n/n-+\n}¨⍵} 2 1 1 3

@rak1507
0 0 0 3
0 0 1 2
0 1 0 2
0 1 1 1
1 0 0 2
1 0 1 1
1 1 0 1
1 1 1 0
2 0 0 1
2 0 1 0
2 1 0 0

11:29 AM
@Marshall I'd love some feedback on what the array notation pages look like now.

12:04 PM
@Adám FWIW I really enjoyed this one. I think with some luck the accessibility will pay off

1:34 PM
@rak1507 if the input array is not very big, how about use decode like ⍉3 2 2 4⊤⍳n and filter out the result?

Presumably because it'll be slower than Rak's solution

1 hour later…
2:38 PM
Announcement: The programme for Dyalog '22 in Olhão, Portugal is now available. Only a few spaces left, so register now to avoid disappointment.

@LdBeth because the input array is big :)

Announcement: Vector Webinar (open session) hosted by the British APL Association in 10 minutes: Zoom 858 532 665 (zoom.us/j/858532665), passcode: ⎕←×/1920 12 17

5:03 PM
@rak1507 ⋄ 6 {r←1 0⍴0 ⋄ r⌿⍨⍺=+/r⊣⍺{n←1+⍵⌊⍺-+/r ⋄ r⌿⍨←n ⋄ r,←1-⍨(⍳+/n)+n/n-+\n}¨⍵} 1 2 3

@awagga 1 2 3

Shouldn't (2 2 2) (3 3 0) (3 0 3) (0 3 3) be valid answers too?

5:26 PM
@awagga (,3)≡∪+/a should be true for answer a

6:01 PM
@awagga no, they're like frequencies, 1 2 3 represents ABBCCC
so you can only have up to 1 A, up to 2 B, up to 3 C

6:19 PM
@Adám Ok great! I've posted the description here: Translate Economic System to APL

6:39 PM
Ah I see

6:50 PM
@Connor How comes it is back-dated?

7:45 PM
@Adám I have no idea... that's weird. That was the default
@Adám I fixed it

8:46 PM
@Connor I'm sceptical that you'd get any 'deep mathematical insights' tbh
