TIO has an impressive number of languages. Does anyone know why VBscript/VBA is not in the list?

A: Is it possible to run a VBScript in UNIX environment?

rutskyNot sure about Unices, but on GNU/Linux it is possible to run VBScript using Wine, but VBScript support is limited. On Debian/Ubuntu you can install as follows: $ sudo apt-get install wine ... $ To run from command line: $ wine cscript some-script.vbs or $ wine wscript some-script.vbs ...

@Ben Probably because of ^. TIO runs on a Linux (more precisely Fedora 29), so it can't run non-Linux (especially Windows-only) applications (it could be emulated but there's no guarantee it works, and if it doesn't there's no point adding it to TIO)

Made a quick check and the best answer in 2020 is still "install Wine".

@Bubbler Thanks for the suggestion. I saw VB .NET there and wondered how it was supported on Linux but not VBA.
C#/F#/VB.NET are supported just because there is a version of .NET Core for Linux.
