Hey @Atex, we haven't met in person, but I’ve read through all your messages in this chat, so I hope it’s okay for me to offer some advice: 'Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.' Just post your response, edit it, read others' answers, and learn from them.

When I read the accepted answer here, I couldn't help but think, "Well done, he's putting himself out there."

I just upvoted that answer, it is very well written

Consider not knowing how to answer a question as an opportunity to learn something new.

Take this reply of mine, for example. Did I think, 'How foolish of me to spend an hour writing a response in a language I don't understand,' or, 'I know full well that King Egreg will come in with a swiftly one-liner answer, but in the meantime, I’m learning something new'?

@EmanueleNardi You hit the nail on the coffin with the 2nd example of thought. I've always had the mentality that people should receive the best service, and when I know someone else's best is better than mine, I tend to abstain or refer to them. I guess the takeaway here should be a shift of mentality: "Your own best is good enough", and to always remember Isaac Newton's infamous quote: "If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants."

@EmanueleNardi I humbly thank you for the encouragement. I just recalled that I've used TikZ in a similar way before, and feel quite comfortable with basic usage of it, and I thought that this question may be just within my grasp. Regarding that question, I did feel like I had a solid sense of direction, and I think I just need to build up the confidence even when I don't have a solid sense of direction.

@EmanueleNardi I haven't gotten to that level yet where I can estimate whether the questions are within the scope of realistically being answered or not because of their difficulty, but I think I get your point. It is to also try and make a breakthrough, discovering a solution to a problem which hasn't been addressed before and thus establishing and exploring usage potential that way, right?

@EmanueleNardi I appreciate you so much for accurately articulating how some of the others may have felt yesterday! To me, it was a matter of referring difficult matters to more trusted hands, but to them, it was an additional burden placed on their shoulders. Regardless, I now better understand why they might've understood my question as a disaster.

@EmanueleNardi Is that a hint about which area I should aim to specialize at?;)

@EmanueleNardi Definitely, but I'll say that constructive criticism, healthy discussions, exchanging ideas and values, trying to understand each other's viewpoints etc. are all interactions which do make it worthwhile!

@Skillmon I see! I’m an avid player myself. I started with "Morningtide" when I was 12 and was captivated by the stunning illustrations and the challenge of understanding its logic. Such a beautiful game. Did you stop playing?

This was one of the first illustrations that left me astonished.

It’s now considered a low-tier card :(

@AlanMunn apparently some people have used some software known as Word (?) that has some concept of tab use that's separate to tables and slighly better modelled by tabbing than tabular but I know nothing of these things.

@DavidCarlisle Tabs make perfect sense in a WYSIWYG editor, but they're antithetical to LaTeX I think.
