I tried using the command `\file_compare_timestamp:nNnTF` in LuaLaTeX and got `! Undefined control sequence. <argument> \LaTeX3 error: Primitive \(pdf)filemoddatenot available l.76 \StripSemantex{ms}`
@DavidCarlisle hm, I wonder how this code was meant. Did luatex in older time have a (pdf)filemodedate? In any case currently the code actively disables the function for luatex @JosephWright
@yo' Is there a way to update an existing Overleaf project to compile with the latest version of TL? I have a project that still compiles with TL2017. I know I could create a new project and copy it, but is there a better way?
@AlanMunn This is strange. Are you on the could hosted Overleaf? If so, can you please send the URL of the project to support@overleaf.com? I'll have a look.
@Anush the underlying value is \itemsep so you could set that ideally by changing wheverer your beamer theme has set it, or just set it after \begin{itemize} probably works
@yo' That would be great. It's a public linked document that I share with instructions to students; it's also been shared more widely to other linguists, so I'd like the version to be as up to date as possible.
@DavidCarlisle There are so many Germans in this chat usually ... ask some of them (and I don't mean myself -- my knowledge of LaTeX etc is too limited)
@ChiefO'Brien you should not take too much of the chat here literally, there are several people on the learnlatex team who are German, the leader of the latex3 project is also German, I was just trying to imply that they may not know enough latex.. (because we are always polite to each other)
@samcarter_is_at_texnique.fr you can leave at once as well you are supposed to be at texnique.fr not here:-) (actually it seems that you are everywhere except here, perhaps that is that paraducks to which @AlanMunn refers)
@DavidCarlisle How does it come that the master of all languages does not provide the translations? They would surely be much better than asking native speakers who no nothing about their language :)
