@DavidCarlisle you get a similar issue with memoir (I removed scrlfile when testing), filehook-memoir.sty haven't changed since 2011.

Lol, the message isn't even from filehook-memoir.sty, it mentions memoir in the messages, it is from filehook itself.

@JosephWright Yes, good question. If there were only utf8 input to consider probably for a lot we could assume that the users input them directly and that they can be simply converted.

@DavidCarlisle it looks as if lualatex can again (or still or whatever) not input files without extension. The primitive \@@input works, but I guess \openin doesn't work.

I could work only with pgfplotstable.
Therefore, I have to create the algorithm by cols. And later I say: pgfpltstabeltranspose.
This could work!

I am an idea-fabric! But my poor brain - so much to think... :(

@cis why are you using pgfplots table at all? if you are calculating the entries anyway, why write them to a file just to read back?

@DavidCarlisle I thought I have to calc the table by rows. And pgfplotstable does not create on use new rows. But it could be possible by columns too.
