Hi, there is an update for https://www.ctan.org/pkg/aastex?lang=de on http://journals.aas.org/authors/aastex.html#_download What is the procedure to inform the maintainer about the update so that it can get on CTAN?
Doesn't the Stix Two Math font contain bold italic letters? I thought I could select them with \unimathsetup{bold-style=ISO}, but that doesn't seem to work.
@HaraldHanche-Olsen ISO such an irritating name for that option:( It's not as if ISO as an organisation specify any style for mathematics. (Not your fault I realise, but still....)
@HaraldHanche-Olsen Hehe, good point. With approximately 200 students I would prefer not to get mails with pictures from all of them. But I like the idea.
@mickep on a more serious note, I want two things at least: full L3 support and a geeky mode. :) Not sure if I will succeed, but let's see what the future brings. :)
@PauloCereda Wow! Your screens are really well cared for - if mine are lucky, they get clean three times a year (but I don't use anything with touch screen)
@CarLaTeX Oh no! Cricket, the most incomprehensible game known to mankind! I once had the misfortune of visiting the UK during a major cricket match. Ended up drinking all by myself at the pub, because I had no idea what everybody else were talking about. And that game lasted for days.
For a while, I had some enjoyment from watching American “football” and trying to guess the rules. But then people started explaining them to me, which ruined it.
@DavidCarlisle Yeah, sounds about right. I was there for a week. And had a feeling this particular game had been going on for a while, and was still going when I mercifully returned to civilization.
@HaraldHanche-Olsen the thing about cricket is the rules are really simple (you whack the ball with the bat and then run as many lengths as you can before the other side get the ball back) but it's made to appear mysterious by having its own private language to describe almost all aspects of the game, to make sure only people from cricket playing nations have any idea what is happening.
@DavidCarlisle Yeah, tell me about it. I am running the Norwegian mathematics competition for high school students, and having a hell of a time solving some of the problems we expect them to solve.
@DavidCarlisle Speaking of which, I am teaching my PDE class ridiculously early tomorrow morning. Gotta get to bed.
