10:00 PM
@AlanMunn I've a feeling I was asked about it here a little while back, but it came back to me while I was writing the code for datatooltk. I've made a note in my datatool TODO file as my memory's useless.
I'm going to head off to bed now. Night all.

Hi guys, I'm coding some addition to adjustbox to produce rounded corners. However should I called it "corners" or "edges" ?

@MartinScharrer corners

@DavidCarlisle Is that AE vs. BE?

@MartinScharrer Definitely corners (I don't think this is a AmE/BrE distinction.)

@AlanMunn Thanks. That was also my feeling, but I wasn't sure.

10:14 PM
@MartinScharrer Edges would be the sides not the places where sides meet, which is the bit you are making rounded (I assume most of the side is still straight, you are not making ovals?

@DavidCarlisle Yes, thanks. I got them confused somehow ;-)
@DavidCarlisle: I now called the adjustbox key "rcorners" for "rounded corners". Is that good enough in your opinion or should I use a longer name?

@MartinScharrer I would use rndcorners (easier to remember).

@MartinScharrer looks OK to me, or Alan's suggestion

@AlanMunn Good point.

@MartinScharrer is it a yes/no switch or an arc length?

10:26 PM
@DavidCarlisle arc radius
Which can be given for every corner separately if required.
So you could have rounded corners only on top for example.

@MartinScharrer css version (which also allows two lengths for elliptic arcs, useful if you have very irregular aspect ratios.. css-tricks.com/snippets/css/rounded-corners (might also be a well known name in some "corners"

@DavidCarlisle Thanks! Interestingly I used the same order: top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left.

10:58 PM
@DavidCarlisle: I will have rounded corners and independent from it also rounded frames.
Now, if you have a frame separation like usual, the radius could stand for the frame corner radius or the content corner radius ....
The frame corner radius is the content radius plus framesep + .5 framerule
Maybe I might do a normal and a starred version for the rounded frame.
