@Natty tp The post in Sentinel (i.e., the version Natty saw) is borderline and I'm not totally sure about this. (I'd be refraining from giving feedback at all if I hadn't accidentally gave fp before.) It was mostly a request for information and probably tp. The existing version of the post, which has been expanded, should probably not be flagged or deleted.
@EliahKagan I have revisited all the duplicates of the canonical question: askubuntu.com/q/1041226 looking for answers to migrate or possibilities to reopen them and found nothing actionable in any of those questions.
This user also tried to add this "solution" as edit suggestions to four older answers (where it is not at all useful; all rejected).
Looks like they are under a false impression that this solution (which presumably worked for their Broadcom device) is a one-size-fits-all solution to all Wi-Fi device/driver problems.
