Why should the "found this answer" for duplicate app icons in Ubuntu dock be useful here for completely missing Kile launcher? Sounds like an issue with OnlyShowIn and/or NotShowIn, but OP didn't provide the content of the .desktop file either.

Also previously I suggested a way to create a .desktop launcher by hand, after that OP replied there's already one
