So, apparently some infopath form I need to fill out requires my employee id. The card that had my employee ID on it also had the text "do not laminate" and stuck to the inside of my card holder thing in my wallet (or to other cards). Meaning that I don't know what my employee ID is.

@LessPop_MoreFizz That's an interesting quote because, again, the states have no rights when it comes to copyrights. They're exclusively delegated to federal law as per Section 8 of the United States Constitution.
Regardless, as I said, prior to 1972, Congress exercised it's authority to establish copyrights, but not to enforce them, delegating that responsibility to the states.

@badp No, no it isn't. Also, the Judiciary branch does not have the power to 'legiferate' - or 'legislate' for that matter. 'Legislating from the bench' is a political phrase used to slander judges who issue rulings you don't agree with. The power of the Judiciary is pretty much exclusively confined to interpeting the law, and invalidating those laws which are inherently contradictory to other, existing laws that have been demonstrated to take precedence (i.e. the constitution).
