I have no idea how to make it not do this.
I don't even know what to search for to look for a solution
@OrigamiRobot Increase spacing after paragraph?
Oh wait
wtf
That's horrific
I am so glad I'm not you
Why would it ever think that's something I want.
@OrigamiRobot Generate table in separate document, paste in as image
Apr 25, 2013 14:25
@fredley I will not fight terrible with more terrible.
@OrigamiRobot hah
@OrigamiRobot You're already so far down the rabbit hole
@kalina @badp migrate
@fredley what, you said something was horrific, I put it into context for you
@fredley Please man, I have a family.
Apr 25, 2013 14:26
@kalina The answer to horrific is not ponies
holy shi-.
@OrigamiRobot Take the red pill
@fredley the solution to horrific is ponies
@OrigamiRobot What is it that you're trying to do?
Any suggestions for what I should get for dinner today?
Apr 25, 2013 14:26
You can screenshot your way out of this

If you want to remove all the numbering in the table, just select the table and click on the numbering button again
@kalina If I weren't lazy I'd edit the extra numbered lists to be ponies
@fredley needs more animation
Apr 25, 2013 14:28
@Blem Just insert a table.
@Blem And the screen tapping sound
A simple table.
@YiJiang'sEvilClone That looks beautiful. I wish mine did that.
@YiJiang'sEvilClone Lets all torment @OrigamiRobot by doing what he cannot

Eh? Like I said, just select the table and click on the numbering button
without the context, this conversation looks funny
Apr 25, 2013 14:30
@OrigamiRobot As a human I need something that is easier digested than tables
@YiJiang'sEvilClone That only makes nothing numbered.
This Word is borked.
@OrigamiRobot Are you sure you're only selecting the table?
And I did it on a Mac, which is like, hardcore mode.
@YiJiang'sEvilClone I am not stupid, Word is just making me look stupid.
Apr 25, 2013 14:31
@fredley Actually, Office for Mac generally works better than the Windows version
@YiJiang'sEvilClone Not in my experience
The only problem is their release cycle means they're one year behind
@OrigamiRobot select your table with all the numbers and press the Numbering button again
@YiJiang'sEvilClone Works better how?
@fredley office for mac has a ribbon?
Apr 25, 2013 14:33
@Powerlord The interface is better
@kalina Yes. Integrate all the UI metaphors.

@YiJiang'sEvilClone That only makes nothing numbered.
If you're really desperate, I suppose you could give us the file so we can have a look
works for me
if a conversation about creating a table is still on going, I can only claim user error at this point
Apr 25, 2013 14:35
@Blem Yes, I understand how it is supposed to work.
I am telling you it isn't.
@kalina Someday, historians will remember this as the epic battle between @OrigamiRob and Office 2010
@YiJiang'sEvilClone ಠ_ಠ
@OrigamiRobot what are you using?
@OrigamiRob is this thing back on?
@fredley ಠ_ಠ
Please stop
Apr 25, 2013 14:35
@OrigamiRobot Haha
@LessPop_MoreFizz classic
So if I select as many cells as I can without selecting the whole table, it works.
@OrigamiRobot Hooray
@Blem I don't even know what you're asking here.
Apr 25, 2013 14:38
@OrigamiRobot what word processing application are you using?
@LessPop_MoreFizz That is amazing
@Blem I thought it was pretty clear he's using MS Word.
@YiJiang'sEvilClone I have no idea how to do this, but someone should save the transcript of it
Although the version isn't shown anywhere... definitely 2007, 2010, or 2012 though
@Powerlord but what version? i have no problems with it in 2010
Apr 25, 2013 14:39
@Blem 2010
Also, I'm surprised the OSX version only has one tab for tables. I have the exact one shown there (except it's titled Design), plus a second Layout tab in Word 2010 Windows.
Per an earlier comment

I have never hated anything more than Word 2010.
