Q: Are Items carried over to a NewGame+?

So I'm just about to go fight the last Arch Demon in Demon's Souls. Obviously, I know there is a NG+ but are my items carried over into this? If they're not it makes sense to either consume them for their souls or go learn the spells with them before hand.

@InvaderSkoodge Far Cry 2 is entertaining because it gives you as much freedom as it possible can to accomplish your goals. Far Cry 3 apparently does a bit less than that, but added a lot of interesting new stuff (perks, crafting, etc.)

I am not very far into Far Cry 2 yet, but so far it seems like Crysis without a super suit.

The gameplay is fundamentally flawed, although I'm having a tough time describing exactly why that is.

I wanted to say "So I'm supposed to take out all 10 of these guys without dying?" but there are plenty of games that do exactly that and succeed.

I tried sneaking up on someone and stabbing him. I succeeded in sneaking up on him, but killing him alerted the rest of the camp and they opened fire on me.

So the only way to really assault a place is to have everyone in the place aware of you at once, and fight against giant odds in every battle.

I don't see any freedom in it at all, honestly.
