Hello, following gaming.meta.stackexchange.com/a/10198/108293 suggestion and asking in a chat first. Was there an argument to allow game-identification question that do not have "screenshots, audio, or other tangible media from the game" but have plot points or story described? If it works for other sites - literature, movies, scifi (all have active tags for this) why would it not work for games?

@Piro We consider the recollection of humans to be flawed and as such want something that's not based on such recollection

@Piro There was discussion about this for years before we finally banned them, and then another or year two before we carve our the exception for having an audiovisual artifact. The reason for the ban is multifold, but one of the primary reasons is that peoples memories are faulty. There are many, many examples of people misremembering details, which make answering the questions nigh impossible.

If you look at those other sites and their ID questions, nearly every one of those questions has something being misremembered
