I always assumed oldschool was, like, original runescape

> The first public version of RuneScape was released in January 2001 in beta form, with Jagex as its copyright holder being formed later that year. So I played original runescape I guess?
in anycase I barely played
A buddy got me into it, but he was EXTREMELY hardcore. Like he played every spare minute he got. I didn't get into it enough to want to do that, so I just didn't play at all.
He was like that with everything. He went super hard on Diablo 2 as well. I remember standing witness to him doing an admission trail into some clan with his level 90 sorc.
A sorc he eventually got to 99, which takes a ridiculous amount of grinding to do
anyway, now he makes truckloads of money working at a car dealership which he's pretty sure is run by the mob.
