I see "build order" questions frequently, particuarly for starcraft 2. While often the answers are good, these questions can easily be answered by a simple google search. Liquipedia has a far more comprehensive answer on build orders than anyone can post, and comes up first in search results. Why...
And then when it gets closed we have to deal with the stupid question on meta asking why this new question got closed when we kept that old question that is similar to it
@StrixVaria I have mixed feelings about the historical lock feature. It seems kind of like preserving broken windows because they are part of the history of the area

Yeah: working theory is that everyone thought he was a shoo-in so people voted for their "third party" candidates instead, which lead to Brad not getting elected
@MarkTrapp But isn't that what the kind of elections we have are designed to prevent?
user2334
@OrigamiRobot STV is supposed to prevent votes being wasted, not necessarily to promote alternative candidates or ensure popular candidates are elected while allowing alternative candidate voting
user2334
So if Brad wasn't enough people's first choice, he'd never get elected
user2334
If the election didn't order the votes, Brad probably would've gotten elected
@MarkTrapp I meant you could vote for your favorite candidate even if you thought he would be a shoo in and your vote not be wasted

Ah, right: the theory—and this is all wild speculation of course—is that people chose other candidates they liked as the first choice because everyone thought everyone else was putting Brad Larson as their first choice
Indeed. We'll never know the real reason Brad lost, but it's just very hard to understand why a candidate as qualified and affable as him did so poorly
@MarkTrapp Thanks for mentioning this; went there and participated (he does seem the best option, so he got my 1st choice vote). Is it bad that I haven't thought of a 3rd choice yet :/
@MarkTrapp that's easily verifiable, how many 2nd and 3rd choices did he get
I say "I'm going to rank him 4th because I know a lot of people are going to rank him 1st anyway" is a lot more flimsy than "I'm going to rank him 2nd because I know a lot of people are going to rank him 1st anyway"
I want to search for rings and amulets in the AH that add directly to the damage like this ring:
But I couldn't find an option to put this as a search criteria. How do I look for it?
On the game dragonvale for ipod 4th gen, i was wondering how much xp does the solstice dragon give you when you hatch that dragon? Sorry for any mis spellings. Thanks!
In the sewers and water ways of Act II there are piles of diseased bodies that have health, but don't seem to be doing anything except for lying there waiting to be destroyed. Can they hurt me in any way, or are they just a barrel with a health bar?
@QAdp Indeed. Just ran the numbers, and even if you totaled up all of the first, second, and third choices for a candidate, Brad comes up far behind. Only possible conclusion: democracy doesn't work!
user2334
He actually comes up 70 votes behind the number of unselected choices (unused portions of ballots)
If I search for a chest armor with a socket having 100 dexterity, I often get armors with 50 base dexterity having emeralds. This is not was I am looking for. I want to get an armor with 100+ base armor that I can equip with my emeralds, so I can push it to 150 or more.
Is it possible to exclude...
I am a Wizard trying to gear up for Act 2 of Inferno. My preferred damage spell is Disintegrate (used in conjunction with Magic Weapon and Venom Hydra and Archon). I have been reading up on weapon speed (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/3424908246).
From this I gather that Disintegrate i...
So, this random girl on Steam that I'm not friends with invited me to join a group called "CS:GO Jailbreak" that I have no friends in. Assuming the CS stands for Counterstrike, it's not a game I play or have, either.
Do random people just randomly invite random other people they don't know to random groups for random games they don't play?
