@Ash if P != NP, there exists is an entire class of problems that cannot be solved through glorified brute force. The fact we couldn't find any such solution (finding just one would be enough to prove that P = NP) means that P != NP certainly wouldn't come as a surprise to anyone

P is any problem that can be solved in 'polynomial' time, e.g. you can count a list of items of length n in n steps, you can sort it using Bubblesort in n^2 time, etc. Any algorithm that is solvable in n^x time, for any x, is in P.

Problems in NP are a little harder to define in simple terms, but they're characterised by being mappable onto one another.

3-colouring a map is a classic (the classic?) NP problem, i.e. working out how to colour the tiles of a map with three colours so that no adjacent map tiles have the same colour.

All other algorithms in NP have been shown to be equivalent to this one.

So if you can find a polynomial-time solution to three-colouring a map, or to any other NP problem, you essentially find a polynomial time solution to them all

But nobody has, and we're pretty sure there isn't one, but we're not mathematically sure.

@DanmakuGrazer well i haven't seen the battle system in action yet (keeping it as much of a surprise to discover) but in my mind and what i read about the co-op i was thinking of more Final Fantasy XII with you setting up conditions for skills to be used by you're allies (since i doubt they'd stick Co-Op in the same system used by Re;Birth)

when i played i never used the self-destruct except for when i hacked machines and it wasn't until i asked a question on the dress module did i learn about it (and before then i didn't know 2B had such a function)

whereas nepu has a mission where you go through a mob of 1,000 in groups of 50 or so

which I mean is not necessarily the definition of "fun"
