Well, we haven't ever needed one.

All previous presidential crises have resulted in a VP succession and that's it.

We've never needed to go further down the line.

And theoretically, Trump and Pence would need to be removed at the same time so that one or the other can't appoint a VP before Ryan assumes the presidency.

One of the biggest holes in Trump's "I'm doing this to improve the American economy and put America First" is that both the American economy and millions of Americans would be far more improved by refocusing the economy away from fossil fuels and towards clean power. I mean, those coal miners could be refocused towards mining rare earth metals and other stuff that's used in electronics

@Nzall Well, yes, but I think that when people present solutions like "just mine rare-earth metals", they could seem out of touch or unhelpful.

If only Trump is presenting what at least sounds like an actual solution to the problem, he could seem like the best choice, even if we know that it won't actually work

Well, it seems that for at least some portion of the coal mining population, anything that isn't "make coal mining profitable" is out of touch or unhelpful.

@murgatroid99 Honestly, in my opinion, the problem those people have is that they view Paris as a threat to their current lifestyle, rather as an opportunity to reflect on their current lifestyle and how they can make it work with reality

Although part of me wants to go full neckbeard and learn swordfighting.

People are way too quick to view anything that doesn't fit their world view as a threat.

I surf Reddit for a living. The development of imgur as its own platform and 9gag stealing memes and then reposting back to Reddit is becoming more and more problematic.

@Nzall I wasn't talking specifically about job security there. I meant, for example, I see a lot of what Trump does as threatening, to the environment, to the economy, to international relations, to domestic freedoms, etc. Would I recognize if that feeling was caused by my own worldview being narrower than I think?
