It just turns out that Clinton supporters wanted to hear... Positive progress towards climate change and other issues, and Trump supporters wanted to jail Clinton, and also in some cases re-form the Soviet Union
And yet there's the complete opposite tactic from the so-called red tribe that's apparently okay.
Remember Palin and other conservative politicians talking about "the heartland" and how they're the "real America"?
They pander to rural citizens, talking about how they're "salt of the earth" and how they "know how reality works" and how those liberal "city-dwellers" don't know "real America" and they eat it up.

I'm just completely annoyed at this spate of articles on how liberals to have learn this lesson on how to "talk nicely" to Trump supporters. Maybe my view on things are a bit different being a relatively left-leaning person in Texas, but my entire life has been spent moderating my political views and "talking nicely" because you can bet nobody "talks nicely" to anyone not conservative down here.
@Yuuki I haven't read the articles, but I'm guessing the point has nothing to do with being nice and everything to do with actually being heard and convincing people of your views

@Sterno i don't want to convince the other tribe that my solutions are correct, I want them to understand what the problems are so that we can debate the solution.
The one article I read about this, right after the election, was basically "You can't just tell the other side they're stupid for not agreeing with you and expect that to work"
I mean their approach was to use the words "terrific" and how anyone who wasn't a trump supporter was a "libtard snowflake who can't handle the truth that Mexicans Muslims wall #lockherup #pizzagate"
Anyway, the article I saw wasn't written by a conservative. I'm betting most weren't. It was written by a liberal, and the point was "Guys, maybe we should change something so we don't lose this way next time." You can argue nothing should need to change, or that the change wouldn't be effective, but I think the point was "Let's change what we need so that we can win", not "Let's be nice"
@Ash Shiny is growing on me, but I still think it's the weakest song on the soundtrack. Though it's a really strong soundtrack, so I don't think that counts as a diss.

Once I press A the game puts the second player automatically in the other team.
How can I change this? Is it even possible?

But there's a longshot plan to install someone like Kasich or Romney or someone in order to compromise such that the Electoral college can undo Russian fuckery
after 2000, some states put stuff in place to force their electors to go with the winner of the popular vote, effective once enough states did the same to give the popular vote an electoral majority
@GodEmperorDune The Electoral College is one of those things that will never be fixed short of a grassroots revolution because any elected power is very disinclined to change the system that put them in power.
Let's say they even made the leaked stuff up. They interfered and that's bad but you can't just say "Oh, Hillary should win and not Trump then" or they literally are still affecting the election and you're giving them even more powerful tools to do it for hte next one.
@Sterno the thing is you can't prove a negative and you can't go back in time and prevent the leaks, but hopefully you can do something to either prevent it from happening again or punish russia somehow to make it clear that they shouldn't try it again

I mean I prefer NDP anyways, but I really didn't want four more years of harper. the guy is pretty legit at finance,from what I've seen, but his anti-climate/science/woman/muslim stances just appal me.
@Yuuki i mean i like the idea that representatives are supposed to represent local issues but it seems like it would be more fair to do party allocation based on percentages of votes gotten, so that a few seats go to third parties and such
@GodEmperorDune Well, what I mean is that each district would elect more than one representative based on proportion of ranked voting. That way, split districts don't have half their population completely shut out of the legislative process on any given year.
@Yuuki so that doubles or triples the amount of legislators? because they've found that "at large voting" (where you vote for 3 people for 3 spots for example) just makes the majority win more spots
