Q: Recover Skyrim saved game from condemned computer?

My computer is affected by virus and so is Skyrim. Can a copy the saved games file, put it on a pendrive, and play skyrim from the last saved point after formatting the whole computer? Also, will this trick work or is the saved game file also affected by the virus?

I enjoyed Kefka because he had no grand master plan. He was like The Joker in that respect. He was just mad.
