My house has a detached garage and occasionally the lock gets frozen during a winter storm so that I cannot insert my key to unlock the door. How can I prevent my locks from freezing?
Hopefully everyone knows what a snuggie is.
It solves the lifelong problem of staying warm, but still being able to use one's arms, by being a blanket with sleeves!
Unfortunately I don't have a snuggie (but I do have a blanket). Is there a way I can achieve the same use as I would with a snug...
> 1. Acquire three blankets, optionally four. 2. Cover your body with one of the blankets. 3. Wrap both arms with the remaining two blankets. 4. Realize this is completely asinine and just go buy a snuggie. 5. Realize that you've just bought a snuggie and rethink your life.
I just had a quick question. I was playing Minecraft (vanilla, only mod is Rei's Minimap) last night and just had the default Steve skin, nothing fancy. When I started playing this morning, I looked like this. Is this some kinda effect I'm unaware of, or is one of my files messed up?
The only ot...
Questions don't have to be closed before they are answered...
...but if they're just asking for a product recommendation, that is certainly off-topic.
Answers containing un-hackish solutions should be commented on. Perhaps a unique flag reason + review queue is in order.
""With our message from the Nazca lines, we expect politicians to understand the legacy we need to leave for future generations," said one of the activists, Mauro Fernandez, on a video produced by the organisation."
I don't see how this could've gone through without at least one person saying, "Guys? Are you sure this isn't something we could do just by putting a message on the Times Square jumbotron? Or in a spot before the movie trailers? Y'know, a way that won't automatically piss off at least an entire country?"
@Mooseman Not have a site. If the only way we can determine if any of our questions are on-topic is to wait for answers first then that means their is a fundamental problem with the site. A problem which ensures this site just can't work under the SE model. — Wipqozn10 secs ago
How about properly defining what is and isn't on-topic prior to that point? If a question needs an answer before you can close it, the site is going to be overrun with low quality, ill defined questions. — fbueckert2 mins ago
@Mooseman What people seem to fail to understand is that the SE model is not a universal model. There are some things that it simply won't work with. Lifehacks.SE might work with a few adjustments, but breaking the round hole with your square peg is not the answer. — Origin37 secs ago
Can we have a new flag reason and review queue for "This isn't a hack"?
Inspired, somewhat, by this question, answers can be given that are 0.00% hackish. I think we can all agree that these don't help the community.
I propose that there is a new flag reason...
it is not a hack

Not only do I want to make a good impression during an interview, but I want to make sure that the interviewer understands that I'm their ideal candidate.
I do all the normal things, such as answer their questions politely, dress professionally, and have a good resume. But I was wondering if th...

What I love about the LifeHacks site is that just about anything you can dream up which could potentially solve the problem is a valid answer. For instance, I present:
REBEL AGAINST THE ESTABLISHMENT AND RANT IN UPPERCASE IN THE BRIDGE FOR 20 MINUTES then make up some sort of unsatisfying closure in the end when you tire of it.
I know that it unlocks when you get to sector 5 with a Kestrel, but I'm asking if there is a specific quest so I can have that empty space in the hangar filled with a nice Q.
Yes, I want to complete everything (I'd extend my question to the Kestrel...)
I launched a rocket to get a capsule stuck in orbit around Minmus but I'm not sure how to intercept it. Can anyone help me?

> My math teacher took a ruler off a student who was annoying him with it, licked it then threw it out a window. The student then retaliated by grabbing the teacher’s ruler and licking it. The teacher just sits there and says, "I don't give a damn, I use that to scratch my balls.”
Say the oil light turns on in my car and I have an extra quart in the trunk.
However, I don't have a funnel to pour the oil through.
How can I pour the oil without making a mess?
