@CharlesBoyung I did say 'for the most part'. Also, what @badp said. There's a community of users here that actively clean up and improve the incoherent posts. Which can't be said for gamefaqs.
This seems like a needlessly heated debate over a relatively minor point. That meta question is sort of ridiculous anyway, since it demands looking into the future for an answer.
@badp @Charles be aware your discussion in the comments was pruned. I tried to leave the relevant part of the correspondence there. Please don't add any additional comments there.
@Brant the tl;dr is that Charles is being particularly angry about his pedantry for some reason.
I say this as someone with a long-abiding penchant for being among the most pedantic individuals you will ever meet. But there's no reason to be angry in the process.
@CharlesBoyung Well, given the imperfect tonal qualities of text, you seem very angry. So you may want to revisit your vocabulary in this conversation.
@LessPop_MoreFizz I didn't follow the Beatles thing all that closely. What exactly was holding back online distribution of their stuff? Fear of making too much money?
This site has made me (even more) obsessed with editing. I go to blogs and forums and look at documents at work and I think, "man, I need to edit this and that and the other", and then I remember that I only have that power here...
@sjohnston The five major stakeholders didn't see eye to eye about a lot of things and were generally paralyzed into indecision for a long time. Apple Corps is a very very very slow moving entity.
> Tell @tzenes it's "carbonated". Carbinated is going to drive me nuts. Also, sarsparilla out-does Pepsi and Coke any day. This comment will vanish in a minute or so. – Grace Note♦ 7 mins ago
I have to say, the best part of the Apple official press release is Ringo's quote on the subject: “I am particularly glad to no longer be asked when the Beatles are coming to iTunes,” said Ringo Starr.
@tzenes No longer affects me. This is completely subjective, petty and all that, but the only thing I would achieve by opening a question is helping Jeff. I wouldn't want that. If you want to, that's up to you, of course.
@badp While your edit does improve the title, you are wrong in your intentions. "The API" means the Gaming API, which it does link to.
What's the easiest way to take a screenshot of an XBox 360 or other console game?
Do I really have to buy a video card with HDMI/HDTV support, plug the XBox into that, and do the screen cap on the computer? What about a way to do this within the XBox itself, or by using a 3rd-party piece of "cap...
So, I recently promoted an alt to a priest of Vynora. I knew there were a bunch of things I couldn't do any more but I failed to really grasp the enormity of this list. So now he basically stays home and tends the farm, blesses the horses and prays at the altar.

When my happiness balance is +X it means I get X extra points to my golden age counter every turn. During a golden age the counter disappears. What happens to the happiness points then? Is the balance still being kept and updated? Or is my happiness value frozen during the golden age?

When asked to adopt a social policy, you can right click to opt out.
If you do this, do you lose those cultural points, or do they roll over until your next cultural advancement?
I don't like any of the currently available social policies, but I have been asked to choose a new policy twice.
Obviously the AI drivers are more skilled and the tracks are more difficult, but is there anything else? I ask because I swear the handling of my cars has changed. (I play with all aides on as I have a wheel but no pedals.)
I should also add that I'm not at all familiar with rallying.

Various sites claim beginning, middle, and end of November as a release date; others say Q4 2010; still others say 2011. Is there any official word on the release date?
@GamingSE I have a silly question: To my knowledge, we still have an ongoing war about game-rec questions. Who is on what side? I ask this because I didn't follow the course of the war closely as it happened and if we aren't careful we could end up convincing everyone, but not noticing and still thinking there's a war going on, when there's no one left to fight. Is there still a war going on?
(understanding I mean war/fight in the most productive sense)
@badp Its true. I'm not so worried about everyone discussing it. I'm worried about discussing it without any new info/ideas, cause then we get nowhere.
Apologies for length. For those who cannot palate an entire page of text, the TL;DR is at the bottom.
The Problem
Our community is young, and the way this whole StackExchange 2.0 experiment will work is still in flux. However, I've noticed some trends in our policy-making that I'm not terri...
