So for example, while we were in Taiwan, I got an English copy of Tales of Vesperia in NTSC-J.

IIRC most (not all) US games will play in JP systems. But, on the other hand, if you're into shooters, probably 80% of the ones on 360 will play on a US system

The only Cave games that aren't region free or otherwise playable on a US system in some form are DOJBLEX, Ketsui, and Mushi HD
