I got lucky with my place; the owners had accepted an offer, but their financing fell through.

I then got to take a look at the place, and I offered them asking price, which around here at the time was unheard of.

Since everyone was offering 30-40K above asking.

The way I look at it is that there's no perfect solution to this problem. If we just downvote without educating the user on how to find the answer themselves (or, for that matter, letting them know we expect them to do research before asking) then they may just keep asking "trivial" questions and...

Q: Why was the game length of the Nintendo World Championships 1990 set to 6:21?

The original game cart contained a set of dip switches, in their default off position the game is 5:00 in length. When switch 3 is set to on the game length is 6:21, which was the competition length. Does anyone know (or have an idea about) why 6:21 was chosen?
