Pack One will add a new Cave of Trials and hard difficulty setting, as well as an intriguing "additional map feature." Pack Two will add not only a new original story, but also a new dungeon and "additional challenges" -- whatever they'll be. The extra DLC sounds far meatier than just some new skins and level packs.

More Cave of Trials and Hard Mode already sounds pretty good

@Unionhawk To me, it depends on what "hard mode" means.

If it's just numbers tweaking, that should have been baseline.

But if there are additional boss mechanics and/or better AI then maybe DLC is understandable.

@MBraedley So the problem wasn't whether or not he was joking. The fact of the matter was that there was an incident where Pewdiepie paid people to hold those signs. Even as a joke or prank, Disney didn't like it.

I got the FO4 season pass because I thought I would play that game more

because they had I think one or two DLCs that just added stuff to the whole creation portion of the game. It just felt like someone could have added those things as a free mod

I made sure to play all the DLCs but by the time the last one came out I was already done with the game and it sort of felt like a chore

I wonder if when they say a "new hard mode", they mean that there's already a hard mode baseline and the DLC is a special challenge mode.

@BlueBarren I think I would've been fine with FO4 base creation if it was just a single base.

Pick one location out of several or just have it be The Castle.

@Yuuki I like that they had the whole base creating and crafting stuff but to be honest it just seemed too much of a hassle. I created one base so I had a place to store all my power armour, companions and everything else I picked up. But man, maintaining and gaining enough resources to maintain the network of settlements you could have was way too much of a grind

so I never screwed around with those DLCs because I was too lazy to make sure I had the resources to fully utilize them.

@BlueBarren I had 1 look at the base building system, saw that I had to construct my base from first person view with controls that weren't adapted for WSAD, and thought "no thanks, I'll just stop playing".

And I haven't even started FO4 in the past year or so

@Nzall stop playing the game entirely or just that aspect? I will admit the controls are really terrible, that's probably another reason why I didn't want to invest into it too much

@Yuuki I actually lost one of my automatron creations within my settlement network. I accidentally misclicked/didn't pay attention and sent him somewhere when I dismissed him, he was lost forever. RIP Little Jim

Maybe I'm crazy and this wouldn't have gone over well, but I'd be okay with a Fallout where you don't personally craft everything.

Maybe the main character could have the survival branch of crafting: healing items, food, buff items, etc.

A complete edition would definitely worth the money for $40

And then to get better weapon/armor crafting, you'd recruit Wastelanders rather than investing perks.

One of my biggest issues with perk systems in Bethesda games is that you ostensibly have to sacrifice combat potential for crafting ability and to make it so that people who prefer crafting don't shafted out of the power creep, Bethesda makes crafting overpowered.

Like Skyrim.

oh that's another, although good point about getting wastelanders instead. I wasted so many perks into crafting because I wanted to make dope guns and armor that I never had any combat benefits. I only started to invest into combat during the last DLC

that wastelander alternative would've been appreciated on my end
