@badp Just get 16GB RAM and an SSD for your OS. You won't need to change any swap settings at all, it won't be used anyway under any normal circumstances, and you won't notice any slowdowns due to swapping

I think that SSD + HDD is the wisest approach, although Windows will insist at least for the first few boots that the OS disk and the swap disk will be one and the same drive because Windows.
