I must just be really terrible at building efficient rockets.

I'm not a great pilot either. I got a rocket to land on the Mun once, and then I couldn't even get it into orbit later

@GnomeSlice My very first rocket in .21 not only pushed a station core into orbit, but had enough fuel left to get to, and land, on Mun.

I think I need more practice achieving orbit, because I forgot the height you're supposed to start turning.

Q: How can I effectively murder these rather grotesque disembodied rabbits?

In the original Legend of Zelda, what's the most efficient way to kill a Pols Voice ghost? On the original Famicom, it was possible using the built-in Mic, but that method appears to be unworkable nowadays. Regular weapons (ie sword and boomerang) prove rather ineffective.
