@jeffreylin_ I have no such schematics. You'd need to build it from scratch. There are several tutorials on how to make inchworm drives online. Frames are buggy though; last time I ever used the thing, it crashed the server. So...

@Fluttershy Hmm, as much as I can see how that could seem (and may actually be) hypocritical, console games have a larger history of being able to take a game over to a friend's house to be able to play with multiple people on their system. Whereas PC games tend to require a separate systems networked together for more than one player.

And steam does an awful job compressing games, 7zip does it better

I'm trying to compress a Steam backup of The Ship, totalling 920 MB, with WinRar at Best (which is what I've got installed). 50% in the process, WinRAR was only able to save 3% of the data.

By the way, in the US ADSL still in use?

@spyder Honestly, ADSL downwards gives you most of the speed you need in everyday usage; webpages don't load MUCH faster on a 10 MB/s link

(Last I argued that ISPs should offer you some kind of slider to let you adjust the split between upload and download bandwidth, people countered that it'd let people assign themselves more total bandwidth than they've bought. I still think that's just bullshit.)

@badp Even in Russia it is possible to buy contract with dedicated high-speed link. Downlink/uplink 10/10 Mbs for $12, 15/15 for $20. I heard that in Moscow you can have 50/50 and more for less than $40
