Of all of the games in the latest Humble Bundle, if anyone wants any of them, with the exception of Legend of Grimrock, Dungeon Defenders, or Offspring Fling, ping me!
I have way too many switch statements in otherwise good code solely to choose which function the game this is running on supports. So now I'm moving those switches to functions to abstract that logic from the rest of the logic.

So after round 101 I Upgraded a "Sun God" Super Monkey to a "Temple of the Sun God" Super Monkey, if you didn't know this makes it consume, or "sacrifice" as the game calls it, all the surrounding towers gaining different qualities dependant on the towers "sacrificed".
My Temple consumed a very ...
In other words, I hate SMB for the same reason I hate Binding of Isaac. Oh, and having played two of McMillan's games, I also know not to bother buying anything else he makes.
@badp Not all of his games have the same extreme difficulty or shock humor many object too (see Time Fcuk for a relatively easy/tame game which is still very fun)
@sarge_smith Well, consider this: Maggie has the Yum Heart - one heart healed every four rooms. If you can get the 9 volt then it's one heart healed every three rooms. If you can get in the shop the battery you can get one heart healed every single room (so long as you give it time to charge).
For the first victory this combination is more than awesome.
@wipozn even the enemies are zelda, up to and including there movement patterns. It's a good clone, but the gameplay is definitely lifted straight from that game.
I still need to play Darksiders. I was going to start it the other day when I realized I still hadn't finished Overlord 2 and went to play that instead.
@sarge_smith Fun fact: Link's Awakening has a room in the first dungeon that you can't reach without getting bombs... which usually happens on your way to the second dungeon.
Besides which, Zelda 3 has rocks all over the place that you need the two gloves to move.
For that matter, you can't get the Book of Mudora the first time you can enter the library, you have to come back after you have the Pegasus Boots... and the Book of Mudora is a required item in the game.
@powerlord really, I don't think any gamer can say that they haven't been influenced by both. I mean lets face it, it's not like we have brand new game types showing up all the time. I think the first genuinely new game play idea I 've seen was Heavy Rain and I'm sure somebody somewhere said it got inspired by some minigame collection
@sarge_smith Even the first Zelda game requires some backtracking. For instance, the entrance to Dungeon 4 is closer to the game's start than Dungeons 2 and 3, but you can't reach it without the raft from Dungeon 3. Oh, and Zelda came out in February 1986, while Metroid came out in August.

So City of Heroes shut down over the weekend. There is no longer any way to play it, as the servers went dead.
Now, we only have seven City of Heroes questions, so there's not a lot of content, one way or the other.
But it brings up an important question: For games that you can no longer play ...
There is this question:
What all happens when you hit Level 15 playing a trial account?
Which was good for its time and got 19 upvotes. And its answer got 18 upvotes. Now the game has gone free to play, and the question is no longer relevant. It can't be edited to show relevancy, for obvious rea...
