And last year, a THIRD of the entire con floor was packed with video games. I'm not a gamer myself, so I can only remember the more comical ones (the giant Black Eyed Peas dancing game sticks out; I remember a huge Street Fighter display)

I'm sorry there's not a special video games section on the NYCC website. Look in the exhibitors area and check there. But rest assured, I've been to NYCC every year since 2008. There is PLENTY of gaming there.

I just get tired of having to reiterate this point over and over again, mostly in in-person convos, not on the website :)

@MarkTrapp Yes, PAX and other shows are more on topic, I know that. But the timing with us and those shows never works out. Last year I started with SE after it was possible to do anything with PAX, and this year conventions of ANY kind weren't on our radar, and when they were, NYCC was the only one available.

I don't have any other information other than "i've seen it in person." Yes, I've gone four years, but I don't spend any time in the video game section.

It's a section I have to push my way through because it is INCREDIBLY CROWDED with gaming fans, lining up to play a ton of new video games, none of which I am interested in because I don't play video games.

If you've got $40 to spare I'd recomend either fraps or bandicam to record, although there is some free softward out there.

Also if you're mic isn't particually good, record you're voice in audacity and clean it up before adding it back to the video.

Yeah, people are generally a bit amazed at how hard it is to talk while playing in a coherent manner, hehe.. You can get into the habit of narrating yourself though, that is pretty much what you are doing.

I will caution you though, if you find yourself not being able to talk while recording, your LP will not go well

I tried to do a Diablo 3 one, but not enough action or chatter.. Same with Guild Wars 2.. I have already just written off doing TL 2 like I wanted to.

xsplit seems to be a little less agressive than fraps on all of disk and CPU, the "demo" has no inbuilt time lengths but the watermark is just about as obnoxious as it gets.

Q: Can I single-fire a Dahl sniper rifle?

I've got an awesome sniper rifle with a great rate of fire and good damage. It's perfect except it's Dahl; it fires in a 5 round burst when I'm zoomed in. This is extremely unnecessary and burns my ammo very quickly. Can I fire less shots with a Dahl gun?
