The last 2 times I've tried using the suggested edit review queue, it's been doing some weird things for me. On a bad edit, I would fill out the reject pop-up, hit reject, and then nothing. I'm not advanced to the next item in the queue, and the 4 buttons remain active at the top.
I'm fairly c...
Opportunity cost is the value of the next best alternative. If the next best alternative to playing video games is working, then, sure, $50 an hour is it's opportunity cost.
Pretty straight forward, but in Rock of Ages, what are the best methods for earning gold?
In Single Player, the computer opponent seemingly has much more gold to build units with. This may be by design, but what things can I do to earn more gold to build more units?
In Medieval 2: Total War I am occasionally prompted with the opportunity to buy one guild or another, such as the Thieves Guild or the Woodsman's Guild. What causes these opportunities to appear?
I don't want a Tengu, spare me the comment please.
I want to know if a Proteus can stand on it's own when it comes to missions. Especially when I have to deal with a lot of webbers and dampeners, which I have a lot because of Serpentis.
I came up with this fitting so far:
[Proteus, New Setup...
As most of my playtime comes in short bursts I've found more and more that one of the most important factors in deciding how much I'll like a game is how long it takes to actually start playing the game. In particular, I'm interested in PC startup times and how long passes between double clickin...
I have just started playing DOTA 2, and as with any other game, I feel I am best with ranged heroes.
However, I don't know which heroes are ranged or melee. Is there any way to find out?
This is something I've often wondered when playing Teemo. If I place a bomb, and then an enemy walks over it seven minutes later, how is the damage calculated? Is it based off of how much AP and what items I had when I placed it, or is it instead calculated off of my stats at the time the enemy...
which is weird because the main factor of the BL2 startup time is a DLC check I'd be very interested in skipping and I don't think that'd be TL in the slightest
ah, the joys of asking about games you don't have in the first place!
You know how every time Borderlands 2 launches it tells you to press any key? ...and how, after you press the any key, it decides to spend a few seconds too many checking for downloadable content?
...and then it fails to find any anyway? Yeah, I would love to know how to skip this check too.
Today I have purchased HP ENVY 4 1025TX. It has 3rd Generation Intel i5 processor, 4 gb RAM, 2 gb graphics, windows 7 home basic, 500 gb hard disk. But when I start it, it takes 60-70 seconds to finally come on home screen. It has 150gb of 'C' drive in which 118 gb is free. And after all when I p...
@SaintWacko Short combat rundown: Each round you get 1 minor action, 1 major. The ones that are listed as #/Challenge can be used that number of times per fight. The ones that are listed as 'at will' you'll be able to use repeatedly. You can use 'move' as either a minor or major to move one square on the map.
One can build a city on a single tile of land surrounded by water on all sides. How can I convert such a city to my religion, if I can't have a missionary (on land) next to them ?
@SaintWacko Trello - its basically a lovely organizational tool, where you can make lists and checklists and tasks and stuff, and if you have mulitple people, you can assign them to tasks, and yeah. Has mobile apps, too, so I can update my crazy on the go. :D
I wonder if the Steam sales have been actually declining in quality, or if it's just that we've all already bought to good back-catalog games in previous steam sales so there just isn't as much to get excited about anymore.
user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz That stikes me as more likely, as I seem to still find stuff, but I have been doing this PC gaming thing for a lot less time than most
I've noticed several items which are marked as useless for research. Should I just sell these right away, or is there ever a case in which one of them might be useful?
Items include broken flight computers, alien food, entertainment, stasis pods, etc.
I am mainly disappointed not to have seen Alpha Protocol on a Steam Sale ever since I decided I was going to buy it on the next good Steam Sale. But it will happen eventually.
I would like to make an android game but I don't really know where to go platform/library-wise. Obviously as this is my first try I would keep it basic and 2D, should I use eclipse and a library or two, or should I use one of the more integrated development applications? Or something totally besi...
@RavenDreamer "Valhagr [VaL] is currently recruiting players (I wan female players ) to join us for wvW, PvP and dungeon. Come join us now and have a save stalk free environment." <--- That just popped up in Map chat.... >_>
Each piece of equipment in the game seems to contribute some amount to each of the six stats. The icons look like a sword, a weight, a helmet, a target/crosshair, a boot, and a shield. What do each of these mean and how do they affect the game?
When I'm in Wifi, I stay to myself; if I get attacked I'll fight back and do meteor smashes. I don;t really care about FS; I just like to fight. So, basically, learn from your mistakes.
Can somebody please translate this answer to English?
@badp "When I'm playing over WiFi [the internet], I avoid the other players, only fighting them if they try to fight me. [Meteor Smash is a kind of move] I don't really care about the final smash [an item]. So, basically, learn from your mistakes"
Hm. The YouTube logo on their home page says "CA" next to it if I open it in Chrome, but not in Firefox. I wonder if that means it thinks I'm in Canada.
@badp Well, I'd say it more "This is how I fight. Also, Learn from your mistakes". It's not even, "my way is the way to learn" it's just "This is how I play". "Oh, learn from your mistakes"
> Mez: I'mma go afk myself, but If y'all want, I'll start up another quest and we can keep this going asynchronous style 2:38pm Mez: i.e. check in when you can, and things will update as time goes on.
So whenever he feels like popping in, it can advance, etc.
@SaintWacko The dev blog has some pretty good systems info in general.
@SaintWacko That said, it looks like the forums are a bit more up to date than the blog: forums.10x10room.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1009 contradicts/updates the latest dev blog post that cracks open the numbers quite a bit.
I bought Dawnguard before ending a questline from Skyrim. Becouse of that I often visit main cities to do some quests. Every time I go I find bodies of NPC that I talked to earlier. Yey, vampire attack AGAIN!
Maybe this NPC aren't so important for quest line but their making my Skyrim experiance...
I've had my fun playing with Super Poitions (Fortify Intelligence to 2 million, Feater, etc)
I want to remove them. I've tried;
waiting for the full length of time

While playing Assassin's Creed 3, you occasionally see notices like "you are in the top 50% of players in animals killed."
Is this information accessible outside of these occasional notices? Or are we only presented with bragging material as the game sees fit?
I have completed the main story line for the Pirate DLC. I have also killed (solo'ed) Gee and Hyperious at least twice on different days and I havent seen a seraph crystal yet. Have I missed something or done something wrong?
I know the title might sound a little confusing, so let me give a couple of examples.
If a pokemon is a poison type, can it be poisoned? If a pokemon is a fire type, can it be burned? This also goes for the other types; electric > paralyzed, ice > frozen. And of course if I'm missing any others....
This has really been bugging me throughout the game. In previous games, when you were eligible to assassinate an enemy, it would show you that you need to press the Square button in order to do so. If two enemies were standing near each other, I never seemed to have any problem assassinating both...
@GnomeSlice There are like, real games on Greenlight there, and a trucking simulator gets greenlit. Of all the random, original and unique stuff they could possibly pick, it's Drive Trucks The Game
It wastes my time 2 separate ways when that doesn't work. 1) After I press up, I have to consciously realize that it didn't do what I wanted. 2) Now I have to hit down like 8 times to get where I want to be.
I find that large fractions of my research times are spent trying to cope with planets striking due to obscene population disapproval, in the vicinity of 80% or more.
How does Expansion Disapproval work? A brief internet trawl claims that it's a factor directly on the size of your empire above t...
There are a number of champions who can summon pets in League of Legends. When I say pets I mean Malzahar's voidlings, Elise's spiders, Yorick's ghouls, Shaco's clone, etc.
Do these creatures also do increased damage if the champion owns an item with the butcher passive?
Does a champion's trap...
This has been bothering me for more than two years now, and I've always wondered: why in the world is the top badge count color pink (or more specifically, #FFDBDB)?
Wouldn't white be better? No?
