On Advanced DNS,I set the CNAME
I checked 3 times external IP.
How to inspect this?
I see. I honestly would post it there if it was me, but thankfully don't work with websites (for now). I mean, you don't have to be a professional sysadmin to post on SF, right?
oh, you mean that some people might think that? I think I may have misunderstood what you meant, so I'm not sure
@NordineLotfi "Server Fault is for questions about managing information technology systems in a business environment."
@terdon This is not on topic in its current form, no.
But it's only if one is picky. If one wants to be kind one assumes that they are actually running some form of Unix on the system, maybe even Linux.
... but it's technically off-topic (or at least unclear) because the same issue could occur even if the machine ran Windows, and they don't say anything about what they're using.
@terdon I took it to be an issue with the way the OP was using nslookup, which is a UNIX/Linux-related issue. My answer concentrates on using dig to investigate issues rather than teaching how to use DNS. — roaima2 hours ago
And since the OP accepted the answer, I just let it go
Or at least be talking about a professional environment. I've asked one or two questions there despite not being a sysadmin myself, but they were "sysadminy" questions about setting up or using a large cluster.
maybe I had this (mis)conception that anything related to the topic of the SE/site (eg, server administration in this case) was fine, unless it touched on Windows/Linux/non-server admins oriented question (eg: how to set up bash, etc) then yeah, I would think this wouldn't fit there, but that's it
@jesse_b @NordineLotfi I received the MSI headset. It seems to work well. But I had to set it as the default device, for input as well as output, in pavucontrolbefore I got any sound. I can certainly see the appeal of not having to fiddle with jacks. However, it's rather tight on my head, and isn't manually adjustable, unfortunately. I'm hoping it will loosen up.
There seems to be some kind of thickish wire on top with is causing most, if not all, of the compression. I'm not sure if it is plastic or metal.
The sound quality seems quite good. I wonder how long it will last, though. the mics seem to go first.
It doesn't even fit comfortably around my neck, which is a drag.
@jesse_b Yes, I've tried bending it. It would be better if it could be adjusted, though.
One curious thing is that Skype doesn't accept the input unless I set it to mono. If I set if to multichannel (the other available option) it immediately resets it to the sound card when I start the call. But it doesn't do that if I set it to mono. Also, only the mono input option is shown in the Skype settings.
Also, it lists it as a generic "USB Audio Device". Whereas is recognizes sound cards.
@jesse_b That is sadly true, yes. Especially if the creature holding the post of Prime Minister of India is their close personal friend and gives them whatever they want.
I see CG Power went from 5.50 at its lowest point to 236 right now. There's got to be a story there.
@PrabhjotSingh That's weird. Did you receive any kind of communication from the site?
The mods tend to be a bit strange. I quite often have had posts deleted for no reason. It might be a seniority thing. And/or a we know you so you can post what you want thing.
But I haven't posted there in a while.
@PrabhjotSingh Have you been reading the site? It seems quite useful. What did you think of it?
@PrabhjotSingh This business is all about probabilities. You want to have the probabilities on your side. Statistics teaches that in the long term you cannot beat the probabilities, and it's foolish to try. And investing is largely about the long term.
Given how the Indian market works, I suspect there are many underpriced stocks. But it may not be obvious. You need to look at them.
Most Indian firms don't seem to be very good at planning. Or management, even. And there seems to be tons of management fraud. And if not straight management fraud, then abuse of their position.
@PrabhjotSingh Well, that's sed notation, I think. But OK.
@PrabhjotSingh I think Cipla will continue growing for some years, at least. But probably not very fast. But it feels quite stable. It seemed relatively unaffected by all the stuff that has been going on recently. Like the Ukraine war and subsequent instability.
