@forest Zsh doesn't have a bash compatibility mode. It has an sh compatibility mode, and it's at least as good at being sh as bash is. It has a ksh compatibility mode, which is also good but doesn't have all the features of a modern ksh93. It doesn't have a bash compatibility mode, and while zsh can do almost everything can do, some of it uses a different syntax.
