I have an Android question for my fellow U&L people here.

@Wildcard I'm using Dropbox and Google drive to transfer the occasional file from my Android phone. For bulk transfers, I use Syncthing.

Interestingly enough uniq can actually be sort of used to remove blank lines

but not in this case

@Tim That is correct. sed does not deal with fields. If anything, it only cares about lines.

Does anyone have some insight into the /history vs /command-history tags?

/history says not to use it for questions about the shell but command-history seems to be about actually finding the history of commands you have typed

I'm looking for a tag that works for historical shell questions
