@M.A.R. I read your post about why a post on Meta might be negatively received. You left out "Your idea is stupid" lol

Q: Daily or weekly "quests" as a way to encourage engagement and "nudge" users toward certain tasks

ColleenVThe concept of "dailies" is a fixture in many games. Basically, each day there is a reward offered for some specific activity, but you can only get the reward for completing that activity once. After you've earned the reward, you have to wait until the quests for the next time period are offered ...

@ColleenV I will restrain myself from participating in that discussion, but I'd like to say this suggestion sounds very mobile game-y. Yes I am looking at you Clash of Clans!

@EddieKal Yeah, I know dailies have a bad rap because of certain implementations of them.
I should have listened to that little voice that told me I should write it a different way
I do have games that aren't oppressive that I log in almost every day to do dailies on
But I've given up mobile free games entirely - can't stand their mechanics
I do think that quests if done right would really help with engagement
Oh well, it's not like I didn't have the Meta reputation to spare and maybe it will inspire a similar but better thought out idea
Every time I get over 5K on MSE I have an urge to burn the extra rep on something
