@ColleenV Honestly, I like your idea. The issue is about giving incentives to do tasks that will lead to positive outcomes both for the user and for the site as well. Many of the negative outcomes pointed in the meta post (e.g., users hunting these rewards like we do in Winter Bash) can be avoided ... e.g., by setting caps for how many of these quests one can be on at the same time, have a period of rest in between quests, etc.

Q: Is this podcast interview worth trying hard to catch ALL what he says for AN "ELL"?

KentaroToday I turned to be 46, starting to feel the erosion of my skin. "Personally speaking"(big emphasis here), why I am here became more a maintenance of English than trying to pass things such as GMAT thing to get the higher scholarship to such as young foreign(non native) people who are not living...

Q: Can we really use lap as an intransitive verb?

danweise She lapped with a flat tongue from top to bottom, over and over again lathering it with her saliva. I would personally say "lapped it with", but it seems we can use the verb as an intransitive. It seems odd though, because we see in the definition itself "something" referring to the direct obje...

No, let me rephrase: I am kind of angry that it's met with such reaction

does anyone know what happens to @Tᴚoɯɐuo? ell.stackexchange.com/users/10264/t%e1%b4%9ao%c9%af%c9%90uo
why are they suddenly inactive?
@Ooker They're not suddenly inactive; they probably found another hobby
@EddieKal Since forever TBH.
What you're doing is precisely what mods do: Correct the community when we're being idiots. I don't see no point in being angry about it
Michael Harvey (Or I, or anyone else) don't bear the same responsibility and burden that mods do and we might forget to be objective occasionally.
@M.A.R. If you don't stop being such a great source of wisdom and support, eventually they are going to follow the strings on me and find you at the end.

Since when am I the wise guy. I've been trying almost to my full potential to prove otherwise
lol you will never succeed in that.
@Ooker Yeah I wondered the same thing. On top of being helpful they had a strong personality showing through in their posts. I also miss another user: Andrew.

Q: Explain to me like I am a six year old why you are throwing your close votes at this question

Eddie KalThe reaction of some people to this question has me scratching my head, going "You kidding me?" Can we really use lap as an intransitive verb? So I was among the first people to notice that question uses an unusual example sentence. The sentence is suggestive, sensual, maybe slightly indelicate a...

I have a question is crony a unparliamentary language?
@M.A.R.

@Pole_Star I had to Google that. No, it's not legislative or even considered formal, I bet
It's a personal attack. In case you were trying to extract useful information from Reg's monologue rant
