@DamkerngT. Two orthographic words, but perhaps we can consider it one lexical word in English, since de and minimis can't really be separated or individually combined with other words.

English speakers tend to have a very strong intuition, though, that anything written as two words actually is two words. Orthography influences the way we think about language very strongly.
