@DLosc and you call them irate traps despite the fact they're shockingly easy 🤣
00:33
what do you mean i cant use firefox?
is school allowed to be browserist?
Could be chrome only features
If you're using something like nextjs on vercel, for example, you might find that something like a react app that worked well in Firefox when run locally stops working in production
And when you go to the dev console it's because some weird thing is somehow undefined
But then it works in chrome no problems

@UnrelatedString i think that's what happened with me. recall the psych assessment i mentionned a few weeks ago, i've been going over it with it on the left and the DSM-5 diagnosis criteria for autism on the right, and it's like. there (but also the DSM-5 wasn't out, and this is not the US so it's not that but still). but I think I remember my mom was very much seeking a diagnosis of "precocious" which is a thing here
@UnrelatedString i feel like only remembering scraps of who i was prior to age 16 does not help
✨trauma✨moment

tbh i dont even feel that bad about it
like it didn't really happen to me, i don't know who that fucking guy is

real.
@Themoonisacheese 🫂🫂🫂
yeah tbh I'm not sure I could have been allowed to get my autism diagnosis if it wasn't under the DSM-IV so my dad could specifically fish for "Asperger's syndrome" 💀
and given he's literally used ADHD as an insult against civic planners I wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with what happened when I was re-evaluated under the DSM-5
your dad seems like a fun, not at all ableist time
on that note i recently recieved an email from my mom which confirms she has no fucking idea where i live or what i've become which is great news
SWEEET
congrats!!!
especially given that she has previously appeared unannounced and uninvited to my previous home
12:54
😭
I'm surprised my dad hasn't pulled that since I cut him off last year
considering I live with my mom
and he 100% knows where

I hate PDFs. I spend like half an hour filling in a form, only for none of the filled in fields to actually show up when saved
I had already closed the form, so I had to fill it in again. Seems you can only see what you fill in if you "print to PDF", not if you use the "save" feature
And checkboxes show up in neither so I need to just use the pencil tool to manually cross the options I want to select
Seems to be a specific issue with the PDF forms from this specific company, others have no issues.
I wasted a lot of some poor secretaries time who had to call me back twice today that I submitted completely blank forms
Which pdf viewer are you using?
@mousetail ^^^
Firefox's built in one
I also tried Ocular which is the built in one on my OS but it has the opposite issue where every checkbox will apear checked and I can't uncheck them
Also the lady said that document appeared corrupted to her and she couldn't even open it

today's rant with special guest mousetail has been sponsored by Adobe, Inc
PDFs are "portable" in the same way that China is "the People's Republic"
i have a love hate relationship with pdfs
on one hand they are great for preserving formatting for printing
on the other hand they are so hard to edit
i literally find it easier to print them, fill it in by hand, and scan it in
To be fair china has people
For these situations, a printer would be useful
people printer go brr
sorry, my brain just broke trying to read your messages and thats the only thing that it could make sense of :P

noodle personSnakes on a 2xN grid code-golf A snake is defined as a consecutive ordering of a two dimensional grid which touches each square without jumps, starting at the square (0, 0). Below is an example of one snake of a 4x3 grid: 0 1 2 3 7 6 5 4 8 9 10 11 For any positive integer N, there are N s...

Any feedback for this challenge?
I will add test cases when I get home today. (I previously wrote an example implementation and used that to make the cases, but my edit wasn't saved and I closed the implementation tab :p)
Particularly feedback about if anything needs to be explained more or emphasized. For example l4m2 missed the note about snakes starting at (0,0), should I clarify that in the spec?

@Seggan Life hack: You can open a PDF in Microsoft Word and edit it pretty easily.
If you use Megahard Mute, however, this is quite impossible.
That would require touching a Microsoft product, which is against my religion

Though I'm essentially forced to use GitHub
GitHub is less Microsofty than, like, Windows
the most they've fucked with it was with Copilot and I have my adblocker configured to hide that UI
Both force copilot ads on you
We need better antitrust regulations

should I wait a while with my sandboxed challenge ? I don't think it is controversial
