It's still pretty tame compared to some of the language names on Esolangs
It's also not the first italicized name

@emanresuA doesn't look italic on my browser

Hm, mathjax can be weird sometimes

on my screen it's in a serif font, slightly larger than the surrounding text, and not in italics

Should look like this, mathjax might not be working for you

idk mathjax usually works fine so maybe that or maybe its just a browser thing anyway it's not a big deal

Q: Given n variables and m+1 linear functions, maximize linear function 1 while other linear functions and all variables are non-negative. n,m<=20, all coefficients and constants in linear functions are integers in [-100,100]. Output may be "Infeasible" or "Unbounded", or if finite, treated correct if absolute/relative error in 1e-6.
I: Is it possible to hack by making a small accepted range s.t. error may make it disappear?

"hack" meaning as in codeforces?

Yup

https://uoj.ac/problem/179/statistics (click ID to view the solution)
Input format:
n m 1(1 if output x, 0 if not and only the max)
c1..cn (maximize c·x)
a11..a1n b1 (a1·x<=b1)
a21..a2n b2 (a2·x<=b2)
...
am1..amn bm (am·x<=bm)

I guess the solution is related to the solutions to linear systems of equations, but the size is small enough to compute everything in rationals I think?
with floats you're already screwed with 100a-99b>=1 & -100a+99b>=-1 or similar

@DLosc damn I tried that lang once and didn’t even realize the lang name is supposed to be italicized lol

unfortunately italic exclamation mark does not exist in unicode

@DLosc I saw u use thue recently so I tried it out, help me golf my first thue answer :p codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/272713/96039

@AidenChow It's probably because the non-italicized number was already taken ;)

3:53 AM
@DLosc bruh that’s a rip, they really had to italicize the name cuz of a joke lang lmaoo

@Bubbler Made the 'Acc' part italicized with Unicode, and the '!!' part italicized with MathJax—because why use one method when you can use two?

@AidenChow I found a small golf, but overall your solution's very good! (And yeah, I don't know what's up with the required trailing newlines either.)

A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

Kevin CruijssenCold Bee and Old Beer Tags: code-golfstring Introduction: Inspired by this stupid meme video, which states 'COLD BEER', but is slightly too large for the scrolling advertisement board, causing it to display either 'COLD BEE' or 'OLD BEER' instead. FluorineThis is a joint post with https://puzzling.stackexchange.com/questions/126255/dishonest-dungeon-staff You are faced with the difficult task to set up a dungeon for adventurers. Q: Tips for golfing in Emmental

CrSb0001What general tips do you have for golfing in Emmental? It is a self-modifying language defined by a meta-circular interpreter, so I wonder if there are tips for golfing for this esoteric programming language. I'm looking for ideas that can be applied to code golf problems in general that are at l...

Q: Weave two lists, cycling if necessary

DLoscConsider two lists, A and B. To weave them together, we take the first element of A, then the first element of B, then the next element of A, the next element of B, and so on, ending with the last element of A. A = [1,2,3,4,5] B = [6,7,8,9] A weave B = [1,6,2,7,3,8,4,9,5] This process works as d...

YOOOOO DESMOS RECURSION IS OUT
First ever desmos answer using recursion: codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/272683/…
This opens the door for so many new questions that desmos can now do

WOOOOOOOO

Oh wow, so it makes Desmos Turing complete without tickers or other undocumented hacks
ignoring recursion depth limit of course

Does it do tail recursion?

@NewPosts Wow, seven answers so far and six of them have no explanation. I think that's a new record for challenges I've posted. :P

11:15 PM
@DLosc I have added another
Although now it has an explanation :p
