I've got an integral in an assignment that I have absolutely no idea how to do anything with
sqrt((1-e^{-x})^2+(1-cos(x))^2)
Like, I can't find a way to simplify the part in the sqrt in any way, so no integration by parts. The mix of e^-t and cos(t) means no u-sub or ways to simplify it.
Unless there's a really elegant solution and it all simplifies away into something cool, but that rarely happens when you mix them
Like, I'm all for exponential stuff and all for trig, because they're both cool, like sandwiches and nuclear energy, but when you put them together it's just gross.
@RadvylfPrograms I like how this implies homework is a countable object. Like you can ask someone "how many homework do you have", and the answer "at least 3" becomes a valid answer.
Also, according to marvel movies, mixing sandwiches and nuclear energy will just give you the superpower of summoning sandwiches and making nuclear explosions happen
I'm making a joke video about SE to the song "I am the very model of a modern major general" and I thought it would be funny if one of the times he says "in matters vegetable, animal and mineral" I could use programming languages - so APL, Python, Ruby/Rust - something like that.
That reminds of me of a game we'd play here where we use similarity to different SE sites (measured via search results) to try to guess what a secret word is (example)
