@AaroneousMiller Vim port - Ṙ\+jE I think

Ooh, actually, 5 bytes: $+V*a
Eval each character of the input and sum the results

@lyxal Pip Classic, 19 bytes: I1=#YUQgFI(_Ng)%2Py (assuming there must be exactly one integer that occurs an odd number of times)
Theoretically, I think I1=#YUQgFI%:_NgPy should work in modern Pip for 17 bytes, but UQ is borked at the moment :(

it's always exciting when you get a -10 because a user has been vaporised
I assume that's right?

8:01 PM
Or just ordinary voting reversal
Unless it says "user was removed" I guess lol

@RedwolfPrograms yes "removed" is what they call it!
but vaporised is probably more accurate
or eliminated maybe

@lyxal Pip -x, 14 bytes: a>=l&UMX:fMa|0
Pretty proud of that one. It started out a lot longer.
@lyxal Pip, 14 bytes: Try it online!
But it's 13 bytes without regex: aR^"+-""fact"

@emanresuA I don't understand

^ I just got that one yesterday

if on the other hand the input is guaranteed positive, then the first two bytes suffice

now I get asked about spam!
(and how offensive it is)

This user Has had an account for about 3 years, but they made their first post a few days ago. I would expect the Yearling badge to check something like "In the last year, did this user earn at least 200 rep" but instead I guess it's more like "Has this user been around for at least a year, and do they have at least 200 rep". Even though they made their first post 3 days ago, they've earned Yearling twice in the last two days. ?

:)

probably by design lol

are these "is this offensive spam" questions just from this chat room?

just ran my first jelly program on my jelly interpreter written in C++... its coming out good

At my work, we have a document with step-by-step instructions on setting up our standard NAS configuration, and it bothers me so much. There's a whole section where it has you add two lines to a document using Vim, and it's about 3 times as long as it needs to be because the person who made it doesn't know how to use Vim.

@lyxal Not possible in Pip--integers are strings. But here's one that returns 1 for integers and 0 for non-integers, 7 bytes: XI~=_Mg
@lyxal Pip, 4 bytes: !a%3
Okay, lyxal, I'm done spamming your chat inbox now :P

@AaroneousMiller How to use Vim: ZQ enter up arrow home backspace backspace backspace nano :p

@user Honestly, yes. Nobody here knows anything about Vim and I'm pretty sure these steps were just taken from a guide online or something, so we really should just be using nano.
The guide was also made by somebody who doesn't know how to use Linux, because they did:
sudo -i
cd ..
sudo vim etc/path
which could literally just be sudo vim /etc/path

lol
Yeah if you don't know Linux you should definitely be using something nice and idiotproof like Nano

The document has you go into vim and then use the arrow keys to scroll down to the end of the last line and then press the Insert key and start typing on a new line, and I'm just like "bruh press Go and ur good"

Loading The Nineteenth Byte; Just a second

???

I'm on phone.

No I mean what are we waiting for? (you said "Just a second")

CMC: Read this post. Do this.

@lyxal Hey

Hi

@lyxal I'm trying to implement math in NLRNIS.
@lyxal I have a question: do you like Esopolyglot?

11:09 PM
@Fmbalbuena it's impressive

@lyxal what esolang do you want to add?

(pssst @emanresuA are you big plate or smol plate - you never told me which one you are)
@Fmbalbuena I'm not big brain enough to add an esolang lol

security update: git push from local is blocked

@Bubbler what?

Nov 3 at 9:23, by Bubbler
Okay, my company has finally managed to fully screw up my slacking workflow
@Fmbalbuena The context follows from ^

11:22 PM
?

I used gitpod to code my hobby project and push to github -> it is blocked -> I started pushing from local
and now it is also blocked

Why would they block GitHub?
How are people supposed to push their code? Or do you use GitLab or something?
I was asking Bubbler because it looks like their company's blocking GitHub

@Bubbler you should just gitdab on the haters

No one here officially works with any public code, and uploading code or files in general is considered harmful
git clone still works though

Oh, do you use some other site for your private repos? (if you don't mind my asking)
@lyxal Huh, I thought this'd just be some meme but it seems to actually be a thing

11:34 PM
@user exactly
I found it because there's a repo which has a vyxal program which prints uwu

The company uses Perforce (a kind of proprietary? version control system) on an internal server

Looks like a fork of GitHub
@Bubbler oic
@lyxal How did you find that repo?

@user from monitoring where vyxal is mentioned on the internet

...wow

@lyxal Hmm i think i will create every program from programming language in TIO what prints Dennis made [lang] interpreter in TIO

11:36 PM
I like that it uses , explicitly instead of just being `uwu
@Fmbalbuena There's a lot of languages on TIO, prepare for a lot of work :P

@user is that wow at the repo or wow at the fact that I sometimes duckduckgo to see if there's been any random Medium articles that have mentioned my esolang

Wow at the repo

@user There is 400 langs

The second isn't too weird, it's understandable to hope for recognition for one of your creations

@user It's made by someone who is a regular on the esolangs discord
@user fun fact: my first esolang was once mentioned in a medium article about esolangs in 2020
Nvm it was on dev.to

11:40 PM
Nice, MineFriff?

Correct
Under the 2d esolang category lol

> using a code golf language usually means simply memorizing what lots and lots of individual characters do

@user I mean, it's not wrong lol

That's what someone who had never heard of jelly would say

11:42 PM
Half right and half wrong

I mean it isn't wrong, but you don't have to memorize the character for each command, you just need Ctrl+F and some vague memory of which commands you have
The more interesting part is putting those characters together to make art. Or Perl

Yeah, the first step of learning any golfing language is never "memorize 256 single byte commands" lol

It's even worse in languages with digraphs :P

@user shhhhhhhh

...I just thought to myself, "Hmm, I wonder if I have any new notifications in chat", opened a new window, opened up CGCC there, and navigated back to chat ಠ_ಠ
in Sixth Barrel , Apr 2 '20 at 4:43, by Lyxal
And I ain't joking either
I have uncovered the origins of the joking joke

11:53 PM
"every language"
no solution in Pip
smh

@user @lyxal this
