Apparently, putc modulos the char by 256
And I didn't know that
and Python print does not modulo by 256

Maybe this is worth making a note about in the mod notes for the user (that's a thing, right?)? It sounds like they'd do it again.

IMO it's not really our place to judge whether someone is trying to cheat on homework or a challenge or whatever. We have to be objective and determine whether content is acceptable by our rules and standards.
