@Mego Exactly. haha

There isn't a line in that that doesn't make me go WTF, but L43-45 is outright terrifying. That isn't what deprecation means!!!

Q: Print the new site header

Daniel M.The new site header has some bits of source code from various questions as the background. Here are the first 3 lines: --<-<<+[+[<+>--->->->-<<<]>]<<--.<++++++.<<-..<<.<+.>>.>>.<<<.+++.>>.>>-.<<<+. Hello, World! IT'S SHOWTIME TALK TO THE HAND "Hello, World!" YOU HAVE BEEN TERMINATED "9!dlroW ,ol...

The one thing I can't unsee

Why is a[:,b] valid syntax in Python

@feersum If you do that with a 2d numpy array, it gives you a "vertical" slice of an array (0,b), (1,b), etc.

@JohnDvorak it's not actually as bad as you think. The parameter effectively says "How much information do you want returned", and the default is "All of it". So, by ignoring the argument, you are simply returning extra data which is unlikely to break anybody.

Q: Regular expression to test if a number is in a range of stepped numbers

jonschlinkertUsing brace expansion to illustrate, we can test for the following range: {29..51}, with the following regular expression 29|[3-4][0-9]|5[0-1]. What is the most efficient regular expression to test if a number is in the following range: {29..51..3}.

@feersum what Daniel said. It's valid syntax, it will pass (slice(None), b) to a.__getitem__. Native python types don't make use of this but things like numpy and pandas do.

The meta flag reasons [possibly close reasons as well, but I lost the privilege now :)] seem to still refer to Programming Puzzles & Code Golf SE. Should I blame caching? Similarly, main flag reasons do not refer to PPCG, but mention things like "...not about programming puzzles or code golf as described in the help center..." (that seems like it was derived from the site name, and I have no idea if is it better or worse than "...not about code golf or coding challenges...")

Bugs regarding the design or name change are best reported here.

Q: Congratulations! Your site design is now live!

CatijaYou may have noticed that the site got a bit less blue today! Thank you so much for your input over the last few weeks. This has been a great process and I really hope you like your new theme. Q: Yourself and yourself times nine

AndrewGolf a regex that only matches itself and copies of itself concatenated an amount of times that is a multiple of nine. If the regex was /hello/, it would match /hello/, /hello//hello//hello//hello//hello//hello//hello//hello//hello/ and /hello/ concatenated with itself 18 times, but not /hello//...

Q: How to find size of each tree in a forest?

ResorcinolI have a tree (undirected graph with no cycles) of n nodes. If I remove k edges of this tree, I will have k+1 new trees i.e. a forest will be formed. How do I calculate the number of nodes in each of these new trees formed? I have to do the above for q queries. A hint may help.

Q: How to optimally calculate the sequence

avinash singhSequential terms You are required to determine the nth term of the provided sequence whose relation is as follows: f(0)=p f(1)=q f(2)=r for n > 2 f(n)=af(n-1)+bf(n-2)+c*f(n-3)+g(n) where g(n)=nn(n+1) Note: Since the nth term would be too large, therefore print the value as f(n) modulo 10^...

But it seems the SO questions are still coming in, despite the name change
