@betseg what's your steam?
found it

> During its long history, Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times.
oh my
@trichoplax Hey, I have that character :p

tf2 cant start

28 mins ago, by DJMcMayhem
@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΟΗʹ Every time someone replies to you, I think their message starts with "OH" because of the space in your name

@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΟΗʹ yes, that's quite hectic

@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΟΗʹ Yes your username started this conversation :)
(that character shows up as a space for Dr Ham Jam)

10:13 PM
Yup.

@betseg why not?
what error?

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ its ok now

i messaged you on steam?

i friended you
accept my request

10:14 PM
Are you guys playing TF2?

fuck if i close the tf2 window i cant fullscreen tf2 again

You shouldn't have TF2 in fullscreen anyways
1280x720 window for best performance

@DJMcMayhem I guess? Don't know

@DJMcMayhem trying to teach betseg, yeah
you want to play/learn?
*also

10:16 PM
Tell me when you guys start playing so I can come and ruin it

@quartata ... weird question. Is your TF2 fullscreen on toaster settings?

er I mean help

@ConorO'Brien Oh wait
Also that didn't ping me

okay, just making sure

10:16 PM
No, it's windowed

@betseg i keep messaging you?

1280x720 window

would that explain why my frames are still the same

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ replied?

10:16 PM
framerate

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ Yeah, that sounds great. Lemme check if I'm free

1280x720 looks small

@betseg are you Ahmad Davidson as your name?

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ i replied your hey on steam
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ yes

10:17 PM
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ I can help too :3

oic
woah teh pings

We should probably join an empty community server

on what timezone is this site?

wait
tf2 room

@seshoumara A variety. Most of us are in PST or EST though

10:17 PM
@DJMcMayhem kk

A significant few are in GMT
or close

@quartata I meant the server

Oh. All times on SE are in GMT.
So UTC+0

thanks

@ConorO'Brien @quartata was about to click on an empty server taht read koth, read the map name.
"trainsawlaser" NOPE

10:19 PM
hahaha

xD
that's a great place to learn

That map isn't actually as bad as people make it sound

(how to uninstall tf2)
@quartata that is true

You know who I haven't seen in ever? Alex.
Where did he even go?

he isn't pingable :(

10:19 PM
yeah

He's been hacking away on all sorts of Julia things on GH

he left for a bit i think
@quartata yeah, i love it
just not to learn tf2 :P

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ I can play in 10 minutes, and for 20 minutes

seriously is there a tf2 room

10:20 PM
It's frozen

@quartata you made it now find it
we have mods

We can use Steam group chat

@quartata There are 2 - which would you like defrosted?

10:21 PM
Chat Fortress 2

@DJMcMayhem I'll work on getting betseg set up (though he seems to be afk @betseg?), and check again in 10 minutes

@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΟΗʹ kurzgesagt?

Help, anyone here good at C++?

 Chat Fortress 2

TF2 discussion for PPCG folks

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ welp look at steam chat
im doing the training

10:22 PM
okay

@betseg Don't even bother it's no good
You'll learn the most from us

kk

@ASCII-only I'm OK at it.
Have a question?

@DJMcMayhem I have no idea what's going wrong with my initializer_list constructor, c9 here, under lib/debug i think

No offense, but if I have to register an account, I refuse to help. :P
5

10:25 PM
@DJMcMayhem Just login with GH

@ASCII-only well it asks for your credit card
just use GH gists

Eh. Too much work from phone

CMC: figure out the basis for this pattern.
The bottom row may or may not be totally correct; I did all this in my head.

I would have said smallest prime factors of Pascal's Triangle but that means the bottom row wouldn't have made sense

Sierpinski's triangle done badly

10:38 PM
@ASCII-only You're actually really close.

red=1, black=2, green=3, blue=5, white=7
brb lookng for Pascal's Triangle

@ASCII-only Yup. But why did I place them where they are?

it looks nice?

@BetaDecay True, but not the reason. :P

@El'endiaStarman What do you mean

10:41 PM
@ASCII-only You're right about the color-number association, but you haven't quite figured out the placement.

I'm going to sleep, so I'll answer any responses in a few hours:

*red = 1 mod 10 I think

Beta DecayCorrcey my Soellign code-golf Introduciton Some of you might have realised that I am a sloppy typer when using my phone. That's why I want you to write a program which corrects my typos. Chalkrnge Given a misspelled word, output all of the possible words which I meant to write. Typso The m...

@ASCII-only You're actually right on that too, in a way. I used red for both 1 and 11.

@El'endiaStarman what do you mean placement exactly matches pascal's triangle ;_;

10:42 PM
@ASCII-only It's definitely based on Pascal's Triangle. Not smallest prime factors though...
There would be a lot more blacks otherwise. <Disclaimer: I am not racist.>

Oh yeah
Largest prime factor or 1 if the number is 1?

TIL Pascal(-1, -7) is divisible by 5

Hey, like I said, I did it all in my head. I probably got some wrong. :P

@El'endiaStarman No it's that blue chip in the top left corner

10:55 PM
"Acceptable overkill" Medium: Street Sign https://t.co/vOjorV006i

@ASCII-only Ohhh hahaha.

11:06 PM
Maybe it's really at (-2, -6). Because Mathematica says it's 5.
Makes sense - if you have -2 objects, there are 5 ways to choose -6 of them.

@ASCII-only Nope, c(-1, -7) = 1

@ΛεγίωνΜάμμαλϠΟΗʹ (T'was a joke.)

A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

Beta DecayDecode the chmod code-golf parsing Challenge I'm too sleepy to do it now, but basically this challenge is about decoding what the chmod numbers mean.

@NewSandboxedPosts @BetaDecay Did you like wake up in bed and type this from your phone? :P

@El'endiaStarman are the red tiles in the border slightly off at points? e.g. some look red and some look pinkish--is this significant?

Also not sure if you're aware but it's pretty trivial
755 -> 111, 101, 101 in binary -> read write execute for owner read no-write execute for group read no-write execute for other
Most of the challenge would be from the strings

@ConorO'Brien The colored chips in that set seem like they're a mix of two different sets, one of which was slightly faded, presumably from (sun)light or something. There were probably two identical sets that got put back together in a mixed way.

@BetaDecay

11:28 PM
@El'endiaStarman ah. is that significant to the pattern?

@ConorO'Brien Nope, not at all.

More or less just octal to binary conversion

I'm 6 days away from hitting one year of consecutive visits:
> visited 359 days, 359 consecutive
This makes me feel terrified and kind of queasy
Has it really been one year? Ugh.

I thought you'd been here longer than that (for the total, not the consecutive)

11:31 PM
It feels weird, doesn't it?
To me it feels shorter though :P
Everyone seems to get surprised when I bring it up.... maybe it's because I talk way too much here

Maybe it's because you seem like part of the site

> visited 389 days, 352 consecutive
darnit
7 days behind you :/

> visited 524 days, 177 consecutive
There's a little "bias" here though since I only voted on questions and answers for quite a while before I really joined.

what if DDoS for protest was legal?

Q: Is this a 92967 number?

PeanutA 92967 number has these traits: One character in word form can be confused for a letter with any casing (6 and b, 1 and I, and 1 and l only) When spelled out like seventy two, has an odd number of characters including spaces. Starts with the letter s or o Is even. Here are some examples of 9...

76929

@quartata Wow. I've been a member much longer than that, but I only started actively contributing in like February/March
Holy shit, I've been a member for almost two years
My PPCG birthday is coming up. September 23rd

10 mins ago, by Conor O'Brien
holy crap ._.

@ConorO'Brien You've casted seven thousand votes?!?!?!
WTF

11:47 PM
Two of your true test cases aren't even. — Dennis ♦ 46 secs ago
I read this all wrong - I thought there was a word missing at the end...

@DJMcMayhem >_>
@trichoplax me too

@Dennis I see 4 odd test cases. 1, 7, 71, and 77. — DJMcMayhem 8 secs ago

@DJMcMayhem But only two of them are 92967 numbers according to the post. — Dennis ♦ 25 secs ago
.oO(Why are we doing this?)

Thought bubbles.

11:52 PM
oh
that's pretty cool

it looked like o.O but typo'd

@Dennis Haha, I know. It just looked like you were saying even, as in divisble by two

that's what I thought at first

TBH I still have no idea what a 92967 number is

And I have no idea what you two are saying, so that makes three of us :P

11:53 PM
@DJMcMayhem That's what I meant. The definition says the number must be even.

CMC: Given a string, put each sentence (split on dots) into a thought bubble on a newline.
@Dennis I'm an idiot. I completely missed that bullet point.
Sample IO:
Hello world. How are you today? -->
.oO(Hello world)
.oO(How are you today?)

n=>n.split`.`.map(e=>`.oO(${e})`).join`
`

@DJMcMayhem What happened to the space?

What do you mean?

11:55 PM
there's something wrong with this ^^
@DJMcMayhem you got rid of the space before How are you today?

^
