Looks like Alex was the person in question to handle them

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Woot! \o/

Why not just use a custom flag?

because I'm too lazy to spell it all out

10 mins ago, by quartata
Looks like someone cleaned up the comments I flagged but not the rest. Maybe I should have done the custom flag...

@quartata how can you see that?

11:00 PM
It's not really a big deal
@DrGreenEggsandIronMan Because he also deleted the invalid answer the actually rude comment was on

@quartata *caused to be deleted the valid answer ftfy

@quartata there was a rude comment? I missed so much of this conversation...

educate thyself

Really didn't deserve this much conversation or thought

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ I know, me too. (Not really.)

11:09 PM
@DrGreenEggsandIronMan ?

@El'endiaStarman Out of curiosity, have you solved PE 67? (a yes or no will suffice)

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Yes.

I am in awe.

I have solved all but four problems less than #100.

:o

11:14 PM
Oooh, #67! That's a classic with regards to changing one's perspective.

Pytek is in good hands XD

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Oi

@quartata do you have a PE?

Anyways, I just finished sketching out about 8 Portal 2 co-op levels but they'll take me days to make in Hammer :/
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Ancient one that I don't remember the password to

Too lazy to try and see if I can recover it

I might make a new one and do some Pytek stuff

does pytek have docs/interpreter yet?

11:16 PM
Well of course it has an interpreter :P

No docs though

@quartata public interpreter I meant

I was planning on making a custom doc system like JavaDocs

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Not yet.

11:17 PM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ no public release

Soonish.

@SuperJedi224 hallo

better to take your time than to speed it up like the goat >_>

We could release it now but I think we'd prefer to wait until it has much more functionality

The Switch Engine in GoL takes nearly 50% longer to stabilize if run on a 100x100 torus.

"It's 'every' because I speak German"
The umlauts are for additional comedic value I presume

Though one question I have about that link is how Adam P. Goucher managed to submit 2.9 TRILLION soups to the census

^^ now I would be impressed if someone cracked that

Luis MendoCompute h-index of PPCG users code-golf stack-exchange-api internet number Thanks to Suever for his help refining this challenge. Background The h-index is a commonly used metric that measures the amount and quality of publications of a given scholar or researcher. It is defined as follows: ...

@LegionMammal978 simple, it's ̱¨á

@aditsu Hint: It's a number, found through manual binary search

then nevermind

The largest still life with a natural occurrence recorded by the catagolue census: catagolue.appspot.com/object/xs45_69e0u1u0e96zwcq3ob6z047065/…
It's been dubbed "Cthulhu"

11:30 PM
@SuperJedi224 Oh dear, have I infected you with knowledge of the Catagolue?

that sounds like some weird cult

It's a pattern census for various 2D cellular automata, but primarily GoL

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ 1. what cult? -> 2. ohh, it's a typo -> 3. wait, it's not

11:32 PM
@LegionMammal978 Which rule is that?

^^^ Contribution graph for B3/S01367

That's a weird rule

Currently has 2.82 trillion objects recorded

@aditsu ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Found anything interesting in it?

Second after life

I'm still running the python version, I couldn't figure out how to make the C++ version compile

to name a few

11:35 PM
@LegionMammal978 This one's fairly interesting

I have a newfound respect for b3s01367

@SuperJedi224 I just make'd it, works fine for me
But yeah, I brought the rule from the bottom of the list to the top of the list

I decided recently to scale up my 4-bit minecraft redstone adder from a while ago to a 6-bit version.
Of course there are still vastly larger ones out there.

@SuperJedi224 It's just a matter of tiling on more full adders

Pretty much.
b45s12 has 1938 known 9-bit still lifes, the most common so far being this one -> catagolue.appspot.com/object/xs9_u1zf/b45s12

11:46 PM
huh

Of course, it's also completely free of any spaceships...

Still wondering how I wrote 3 programs in XSLT

Is there anything I should do before I post this? Are the rules clear?

@PhiNotPi Clear enough to me

11:53 PM
yes

@PhiNotPi that looks like a really cool challenge. Make sure to add the tag.

okay, posted

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ ?

@LegionMammal978 what about 2016? :/

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ ?

11:57 PM
can 2016 be submitted?

> In general, the use of a programming language from the year Y is not allowed until an answer using a language from the year Y+1 has been submitted. The only exception is Y = 2015.

Mathematica probably has a "domain appraisal" builtin.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ So nope

that's what I thought

phew just posted a new challenge in the sandbox
