He's crazy
@HelkaHomba I'm sure there would be an organization of less well-off people actually piloting the ships/stealing stuff under the rich people running the show

git clone or git pull
one of the two iirc
oh
I'm trying to add without this:
On PPCG is it OK to edit your answer if suggestions are made? Are there guidelines for giving credit and such?
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Are you using Windows?
I think there should be an encoding for your files which uses CRLF instead of a normal linefeed
What editor do you use?
@Adnan Not an encoding
n++ supports all three types of linebreak htough
00:34
@MarsUltor sorry, I messed up
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ we kept it going a while!
oh
I've never seen CR alone
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Yeah, it's rarely used anymore
00:36
thank goodness
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ can you go to the edit tab in N++?
141
A: Choose newline character in Notepad++

VladFor a new document: Settings -> Preferences -> New Document/Default Directory -> New Document -> Format -> Windows/Mac/Unix And for an already-open document: Edit -> EOL Conversion

I know how to do it
oh

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ ?
00:52
see the cheddar website?
oh wait brb fixing something
> Though JavaScript in MathJax doesn’t look nearly as nice:
maybe you should add spaces between keywords
@QPaysTaxes yeah.
@QPaysTaxes use \, or \;
This is really some J (see below) put into MathJax. It looks nice because J is a math-like language. Though JavaScript in MathJax doesn't look nearly as nice: $function a(x, y){ return x + y; }$
:3
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ make it $\text{function}\;a(x,\;y)\{\\\qquad \text{return}\;x\;+\;y;\\\}$
00:55
@Downgoat It was a test, and no.
more like a random example
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ :(
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ link to pandoc is borked

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ @Downgoat check button on end of cheddar.vihan.org?
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ the button doesn't do anything for me
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ you have learned well
thanks
@Downgoat enable sound, flash, java, anything? and try again
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Thank you, sensei.

BAI is not the letter H.
in Alphabet Group, 23 secs ago, by Eᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏ Iʀᴋ
Hai again. AND WTF DID YOU DO B IS ALL THE WAY BACK THERE
In answers if you change your code, do you normally just get rid of the old code and keep only the new code?
You can do either
01:11
@Phrancis It's typical to replace code.
@Phrancis Usually just keep the new code
The edit history will have the old code.
@Phrancis if someone really watsn to seelold code they can use reviison history
Keep the old byte count but strike it out though
e.g. JAVA, 444 420 bytes.
01:13
LOL
Or unary, 444444 444443
@Phrancis JAVA is your meme, crossed out 444, 44, or 4 is ours.
@PhiNotPi did that work?
01:27
I made it all the way around the alphabet in the alphabet room!

Around the Alphabet!

@NathanMerrill I never actually tried it.
I'm re-watching Avatar the Last Airbender series right now.
Got it down to 143 bytes yay
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ here you go I don't want to bias it though, there are much better answers there methinks
@Phrancis dang, already upvoted. And I upvoted most of them already. :P
Though perhaps using database code to do traditional code things is interesting to some
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ unary would be 444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444
01:45
@Downgoat oh well
no, 4444e4444
:D the e matches also!
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ more like 44e444
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ 4444e444.4 4444e444
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ clicking the "Dragon Ipsum" on your blogs title goes to a 404
01:48
already pointed that out to him.
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ I can taste the nostalgia.
Is there a way for a script to disable System Integrity protection? it causes problems with Cheesecloth
@PhiNotPi :D I love that series. the new one is crap relatively tho
I haven't watched any of the new one.
01:53
@Downgoat Write to /usr/local instead
@quartata I know, that's what the error says to do at the moment
You're not supposed to be able to disable SI that's the point
Dear Next Person Who Opens a Pluralization 'Bug', I will personally come to your house and bludgeon you to death with a giant S
Cheescloth probably should go to /usr/local/share anyways
01:56
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ nvm I upvoted, I thought posting pulverization bugs was bad
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ
> nobodyscare
[fumes]
that was deliberate
I figured.
Blergh, I'm bored. I don't wanna work on my conlang because there's a bunch of grammar things I need to sort out, I still can't get my pNaCl thing to build, I don't have any new map ideas, and I'm sick of playing vidya games and shitposting in chat.
02:01
HAHAHA IT'S WORKING
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ ?
blog
now I need to write something
damn
I guess nothing more shitposting in chat won't fix
@quartata WHY WOULD YOU PUT A CAT INTO A BURRITO D:
because they're delicious
02:03
... gliders are weird ...
I guess I should work on the QPixel IRC thing
OK, this had me super confused for a second
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ May I request getting rid of the shadow/glow on links? It is very ugly imo
params     =  *14( SPAAAaaace middle ) [ SPAAAaaace ":" trailing ]
           =/ 14( SPAAAaaace middle ) [ SPAAAaaace [ ":" ] trailing ]
02:05
@Downgoat ... sighs okay
> SPAAAaaace
breathes the fresh air of markdown
Xkcd substitutions amirite
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Also, maybe change the style of the dates. From "Fri May 06 2016" to "May 6, 2016"
@quartata =/
02:05
if you provide JS code to do that :\
SPAAAaaace = %x20 ; spaaaaaace character
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ ?
@MarsUltor to format the date
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ do I get a date object?
yeah, just use a new one
02:06
so I get a UNIX timestamp?
@Downgoat I think he means you get a new Date()
function convert(date) {
	return ['January', 'Febuary', 'March', 'April', 'May', 'June', 'July', 'August', 'September', 'October', 'November', 'December'][date.getMonth()] + " " + date.getDay() + ", " + (1900 + date.getYear())
}
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ I dislike title :I
02:10
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ ++ the glow is almost disorienting, at best distracting. It's cool but the purpose of links is to be able to read and click them, and this makes both harder lol
okay
@Phrancis fixed ish
@HelkaHomba suggestion? I'm tired.
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ CSS is never really "fixed" ;)
CSS is more like "Okay, it works and it looks OK, let's never touch it again."
02:12
:D
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ can you change the date thing also for the "Modified xxxxx" thing?
<body>
	<header><span id="title">Dragon Ipsum</span></header>
	<div id="container">
	<h1>Posts</h1>
	<ul>
1) use spaces not tabs plz kthx
2) it's better to use classes than IDs in CSS, if they are for formatting. IDs is more of a JavaScript thing
ಠ_ಠ I said to copy to ~/ and it made a new directory named ~/ wtf grunt
3) all divs are containers, so <div id="container"> don't do that
caret to everything Phrancis said
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ make an automatic last modified date.
@quartata i know.
02:19
If you're going to use id="foo" on everything you may as well write inline styles
IDs are used for document.getElementById and stuff like that
So tying a style into the ID just makes for some really sloppy code
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ "Dragon Ipsum" just sounds like its supposed to have deeper meaning but "Ipsum" is Latin for "itself" and "Dragon Itself" is grammatically weird. Something like "The Dragon Itself" sounds better. Not that I'm any judge, Helka Homba is pretty weird too.
I like it as is personally.
BTW.Carrots
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ
Date.prototype.format = (function() {
	var days = [, 'Monday', 'Tuesday', 'Wednesday', 'Thursday', 'Friday', 'Saturday', 'Sunday'],
		months = ['January', 'February', 'March', 'April', 'May', 'June', 'July', 'August', 'September', 'October', 'November', 'December'];
	return function(format) {
		var d = new Date();
		return format.replace(/Y/g, d.getFullYear())
			.replace(/y/g, d.getFullYear().toString().slice(-2))
			.replace(/M+/g, function(match) { return match.length === 1 ? months[d.getMonth()].slice(0, 3) : months[d.getMonth()]; })
@MarsUltor umwat
@Downgoat ?
@MarsUltor wat is this
02:25
Are you rolling your own date code?
Because it's easier to change the date later this way?
Thou shalt not code thine own date-time functions.
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ D: You're not using Jekyll?
@Phrancis I read "by a CR— not clicking it"
02:32
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Other idea: [The] Dragon['s] Domain (url pun), though something that tells them it's a blog and about programming might be best really
@Phrancis datatime function?
@HelkaHomba I informed him of the error
@Phrancis ?
Should be "datetime" not "datatime"
The off by one think kinda makes the list a joke which makes me take it much less seriously.
Does anyone want to help me make a object -> ini converter for Cheesecloth? :3
02:35
@Downgoat Shouldn't you have used JSON?
@MarsUltor no, I'm using ini
@Downgoat You kept that name :o
@HelkaHomba is it bad?
it's mostly called cpm though
@HelkaHomba eh, just a silly typo, happens to the bast of us avocads
02:36
@Downgoat no, idk
@Downgoat Why does it say build failing
@HelkaHomba If my kids live on Mars, it'll be because I sent them there when they were being bad
@MarsUltor on stupid travis, it doesn't let me write to /usr/share so it throws an error
@Phrancis I mean it clearly says "10 commandments" but there are 11 with off-by-one as the last. So it may have only been included to make the joke
it also can't find the node executable
02:39
@HelkaHomba oh, LOL I never noticed that
I thought you meant that "datatime" thing was off-by-one character
@AlexA. And if you wanted them to get more stupider?
@Downgoat brb, working on the serializer
@HelkaHomba I'd feed them lead-based paint chips
@MarsUltor :D
02:44
I know what you expected me to say
I just didn't want to say it :P
I'm going to make juic a synonym for install in chedar's package manager so cpm juic avocad will be the testing code
Anyway, betcha can't disco every Friday gloaming.
@Downgoat how do you expect non-PPCG regulars to be able to use/understand your code/language, if every keyword is a meme
3
@Phrancis you can still use install :P
$ chmod +x ./dist/bin/cpm
$ npm test
> sudo ./dist/bin/cpm install math
./dist/bin/cpm: 7: ./dist/bin/cpm: : Permission denied
wat.
how is this happening
anyone with travis experience please help
02:59
Not enough juice, obviously.
chown it?
