@Ausername (very late, but) you can indirectly gain +1 rep from a flag if you downvote the post, and your flag leads to its removal, refunding your rep

I just noticed a drop in my reputation. It turns out that a rather unconstructive post was deleted and took a fair amount of reputation I earned with it. Given the amount of reputation I thought to myself "surely I must have hit the rep cap that day. Why did I lose that much?".
Looking at the r...
Looking at caird coinheringaahing's reputation on CGCC, I see +191 for today (as of the time of writing):
These clearly don't add up to 191. They add up to 190, which is what I see when I open this page in incognito (in fact everything is identical except for the 191), and several users can conf...
One thing of note: a couple of days ago I got +201 rep in a day, due to a bug with undownvoting. This was corrected yesterday. Additionally, I downvoted a spam answer, later removed and refunding me the +1 rep, yesterday, so I did gain +1 (although also lost it) — caird coinheringaahingApr 25 at 1:51
Basically, the daily rep limit is very broken, but it all balances out in the end :P
I am annoyed that no proper isprime functions exists in Python 3 :p There was one for Python 2, but it has not been translated. The closest is importing a symbolic library, but that feels odd for checking primality.. The Python 2 had at least something which compiled to C and was fast
@Ausername You won't see a "reputation recalculated" event, or rep changing on that page. If you keep close track of your upvotes/repcaps, you'd notice it
Feel free to open a meta discussion. My guess is that the policy would formally become what it currently informally is: ROs should use their best judgement about whether something should/shouldn't be pinned
I can't speak for the other ROs, but I ask myself "Do I think other TNBers would be interested in seeing this, and is it relevant for more than a day or so?"
Unless we have an actual need for a policy, I don't think we need to have much discussion around it. And honestly, if we need to have such a discussion, it's already gone too far
There is another way, but it isn't perfect. After DJ stepped down as mod, we had no active ROs, so no one pinned anything until the RO election. Before then, pins almost always got 7+ stars, so you can limit your search to those messages
I think you'll probably be able to figure out most of what happened when the next significant, network-wide announcement comes out, and then you'll probably agree that it's really sad. And frustrating. I will say no more.
